4" Overall Length. MFC (Melamine Faced Chipboard) grade spiral bit is designed for difficult materials such as MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), particle board and products with melamine laminate; double sided laminated or veneered material. It is also suitable for wood composite that contains vinyl or glue. A up-cut spiral bit is used where an upward chip removal and a good finish on bottom are required. When using an up-cut spiral bit, chip removal is optimized but adequate hold down is also needed.
