    this would of been defiintely 5 stars if it was more readily available and if the stores honored the online price.  i don't see why i have to pay an addiitonal 7$.  but i'll digress from that.  the product is what is needed to keep your ps3/xbox lens being optimal.  my ps3 lens is dead now but i'm hoping i get a new one next week.  i should of gotten this sooner than later.  its a nice fine.

    I use this for my PS3 and my PS3 has had 0 issues and has been used for over 6000 hours as of LAST YEAR in a very dusty room. This PS3 is a 2007 model making it 3 years old this year and still kicking (knock on wood) I give credit to this device for my drive not failing as this is the most common failure in especially heavy use/dusty environments. I only give it a 4 star because of the "1986" menus LOL.

    I bought this cleaner for a PS3 with a failing Bluray drive. The cleaner itself worked fine but right before christmas the PS3 lens died. However it was not the cleaners fault ( I knew the laser was on its way out and i was hoping i could prolong its lifespan). Just remember if you are in the position I was in, the cleaner does work but it cant fix a broken or failing lens. I have ordered a replacement lens assembly and will be replacing it soon.

    For the money the cleaner is excelent. It doesnt use brushes like other lens cleaners. The thing to remember is that you dont want to use a brush based cleaner for a Bluray drive, the brush cleaners are made for DVD/CD readers and a Bluray lens assembly is at a different height than a standard DVD/CD assembly.

    Essentially you can damage your PS3 or Bluray player with a regular DVD/CD lens cleaner. Because this uses air it wont damage the laser and it will work on any DVD, Bluray or even a HDDVD player, with no risk of damage.

    Functionally it uses 2 holes on the outer edge of the disc to blow air onto the lens assembly when the disc is spinning. Think of a tornado or whirlpool to get a good mental picture of it. The disc also has a few other usefull features including speaker calibration settings and even a speaker polarity check. If you dont have a external sound system hooked up, though, that would be pretty much useless. Its also no replacement for a dedicated surround sound setup disc either but for under $30 its not a bad deal. I took one star off because the menus are very cheap looking (say hello to 1986) and in "engrish" , if you catch my drift, then again it is under $30.

    All in all i would buy it again and i recommend it to anyone that wants to keep their electronics in good condition.
