Maytag  30'' Double Oven Freestanding Electric Range

I had a Maytag Gemini for 10+ years and was very satisfied. This oven is cheap and poorly designed in comparison. I disliked, but was willing to live with: the reduction from 2 timers to one and the removal of the toasting function in the upper oven. The extremely cheap racks (my old stove's racks rolled out, which was extremely helpful esp.using the lower oven) The deal breaker was when I used the oven it took forever to change the temperature up. I tried to reset and work around this but it was incredibally slow to increase temperature once the oven was hot. I was shocked when I read in the manual on p. 14: " Changing the temperature once food is placed in oven could affect the performance." ?? I've never returned a major appliance before. This one goes back. They are going to charge me to pick it up so I will buy its replacement elsewhere.

I love this range. It heats up extra fast and love the double oven. Maytag products I have always bought and will always buy. I didn't get a chance to self clean yet.

Simple and to the point! The best purchase we have made in several years. Ours broke 2 days before our annual Christmas get together and we purchased the double oven and it turned out to be the most efficient, helpful, beautiful and cost productive item that we have had for years. It is amazing and so useful! All of the options on the burners are tremendously appreciated!

This is a nice product. I love using it and the small oven is great. For some reason it makes a pop sound once in awhile while warming up. I do not notice it malfunctioning tho.

Thanksgiving was great. For once I could bake something while the turkey was in the oven. The controls work well, Also love the high speed heating element on the range top.

I love my new stove! I love the double ovens, and the warmer on top! Can't say enough about it!

Like warming feature on stove top. Wish the upper oven had a toasting option, (like my old Maytag). Wish both large burners on stove top had option of being used on large or small diameter settings.

This range doesn't come close to being as nice or user friendly as my old Maytag range. I bought it thinking it would similar to my former Maytag range and it had the double oven I was accustomed to. The control panel is subpar. Compared to my old one, it takes more steps to start baking. It doesn't even indicate which burners are on or hot like my previous range. The oven shelves are cheap. The top is so shiny that it always looks dirty. I wish I had paid to get my old Maytag fixed. Look at other brands if you want the double oven.

The cook-top heats up really quickly. The bridge works well for our cast iron griddle. I haven't noticed that the cook-top is harder to clean than our previous ceramic top. The upper oven is pretty shallow so in order to cook potatoes or bread, I need to remove the grill. But that's fine - it's nice to have a smaller oven that heats up quickly for smaller food items.

love this stove, but the top oven tends to cook food a bit fast, or be a bit hot, so adjust temp. and times down a bit. :-) Holiday cookies and meals were a breeze!
