MTD 14 in. electric snow thrower does not work in cold weather
Needing relief from shoveling a small deck, I tried the MTD 14 in. because it had a rotating shute and the most powerful motor available. Although it was pricey, I thought it would be worth it. I had planned to leave it outside and covered until I needed it. Just plug in and go. After returning the first one because it wouldn't start, I discovered that it would not start if left outside. The switch will not work when it is cold. So, I have to keep it inside until it is needed. I assume it will work well in summer.
