    I have gone thru quite a few cameras to find that they don't live up to what i need_ a good clear shot and a movie recorder that isn't too difficult to understand and operate. well i heard ALOT of good things about the Nikon and i finally bought it- i couldn't be happier with my buy. I'm not some pro with technology so i'm sure there are a few things a camera nerd would want that this camera doesn't have but for everyday pics of the family it is great!!

    Pros:
    Excellent wide angle lens,Super high res with low noise.
    Cons:
    Wish it had a mic input.,Alway remember the wrist strap.

    Heading off on my "vacation of a lifetime" I wanted a camera up to the task. The Nikon S6000 was the perfect choice. Sure... I toyed with getting a big, fancy SLR. But the weight, the complexity, and the sticker shock pulled me back to reality--I picked a camera that fits in my shirt pocket but that still takes incredible pictures.

    Traveling in Europe I snapped over 500 images and 20 minutes of video with my new S6000. The results are amazing. What impresses me the most? As a user I love the big LCD screen. Compared with other brands it is bright and easy to see, And the camera controls are easy to figure out and use. As a photographer I love the results. The pix are fantastic -- clear, sharp, and with great color.

    I picked the Nikon S6000 over other cams because of the wide angle capability -- 28mm equivalent. And it paid off. I got shots nobody else on our tour was getting. I think I found a camera of a lifetime.
