    NordicTrack Power Adapter - compatible with E5 vi Elliptical January 25, 2011

    I purchased the NordicTrack E5 vi Elliptical Trainer and the Sears salesman told me it only took batteries. It actually does take a power adapter and this one works with the elliptical I purchased - just open up the battery compartment and there is a spot for it. I definitely recommend buying it for $20 rather than using 4 D batteries.

    What can I say, you have to get it October 08, 2010

    If you purchase a corresponding unit such as an elliptical or treadmill that requires power to the board, you are forced to pay an additional ~$20+shipping to get it. THEY DO NOT INCLUDE THE ADAPTER & at times will fail to tell you this when you are purchasing it. Otherwise, you are stuck buying & shoving in D batteries. What I don't understand is why the board can't run & regulate off the energy you produce getting on the equipment in the first place? Wouldn't be that hard & it wouldn't be REQUIRED to get batteries or plug it in; both negative when it comes to your wallet & the environment. Just be sure when getting a treadmill or elliptical you ASK if the adapter is included or not. & they don't sell them in the store usually, forcing you to have to go online & get it. Hey, one good thing is for the fortune you pay in shipping, they do get it to you quickly.

    Me and my family recently purchased a bike machine to exercise at home. It can work as well on batteries as on a power AC Adapter. First I bought batteries. But later I figured out that an AC Adapter is much better to use and the screen would not turn in for few minutes at night when everyone is sleeping like it does on batteries .I can use this adapter and totally unplug the bike. So now I use my bike machine just when I want to exercise and unplug it after and have nothing to worry about. For now (and it has been 2 moths that I have it) I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is worth the money that I spent. Thank you.

    The ac adapter works on the PRO-FORM 10.8x exerciser bike. It will save money in the long run over batterys. I think that it should have come with the bike but it did not so I ordered it. I would recommend it for any exercise bike.

    It's an AC Power Adapter and it does what it's supposed to. My only complaint is that it SHOULD come with the eliptical. The .mp3 amp on mine drains the batteries quick!

    The exercise equipment that we purchased did not include the adapter and Sears had the adapter at the right price. Sears online purchase and reservation was very convenient. I recommend Sears for this part.
