    Good Product April 02, 2008

    This is a good product for the money. I spent 799.00 at Sears and did some shopping around for several months, reading reviews and going out to stores and testing my feel for the product. I have to say that it was not that hard to put together, time consuming yes but my boyfriend and I did it. Some parts were confusing such as when they don't label the screws and you have to kind of guess what one looks like the picture! When it was finished we didn't have any errors, backwards parts, etc. I think anything that you have to put together is going to be time consuming, it's not like we are building a kids bike and all you have to do is put on the wheels :). I have done 2 work outs so far and have played around on it a few days to see some of the different features. I love the iFIT, it comes with a iFIT trial card which I am using now, however I have already purchased the level 1 iFIT card. The ability to plug in your IPOD or CD Player is great too and the speaker quality is great as well, I was pretty impressed. I also like the ability to change the sride from 16'', 17'' or 18''...I was debating between this and an inclined one but with the ability to change the strides and resistance you get the work out you are looking for. I am use to using the ones at the gym so I wasn't sure how this was going to hold up but it does! I have had two awesome workouts! My only negative feedback would be that is isn't as sturdy on my carpet as it was in the store, when I am really getting into the work out it does kind of wobble...I am going to purchase a mat and see if that fixes it. Also there is no handle in the front that doesn't move besides the one on the consul for your heart rate...I like the feature at the gym where I can hold on to the bars and maximize my legs. Other than that I haven't had any problems and I hope that my satisfaction with this product stays the same.

    A MUST: Inventory before purchase January 06, 2008

    Unfortunately, I purchased the NordicTrack Elliptical, ASR 630, Sears item# 00623765000 Mfr. model# 23765 today and my headache began...First, after unpacking the product and performing a thorough inventory of the necessary parts to correctly assemble the Elliptical and put it in immediate operation...I was dumbfounded to encounter not only a missing owner/assembly manual, but many missing screws, bolts, and etc...Secondly, upon calling the Sears store from which I purchased the product, I was told that they couldn't help me and to contact Nordic Track directly and informed them of my situation. The customer service rep stated that since Nordic Track failed to properly prepare the product for shipment/delivery to the general public, than it's there responsibility to resolve the issue...My recommendation to anyone considering purchasing this product, "open the box and inventory the contents while in the store with the help of the salesperson before purchase....Good Luck...

    constantly breaks wave washers

    The nordic Track ASR 630 is a piece of junk. It would break every two weeks. It is probably ok for a small child, however not an adults machine. Nordic Track would not stand behind that machine either. They gave me the run around on the phone and basicly told me to get lost. Luckily Sears got me into a better machine.

    I have had it for almost a year now, and am still satisfied. I have probably done about 30 hours of work outs on it, and it has held up, thankfully.

    I bought local for 799+tax Easy assembly for me, Less than 2 hours. Works perfectly and extremely quiet. A/C adapter was included with mine. Very satisfied so far. My spouse works out for an hour a day on it and really likes it. I highly recommend it.

    I got this machine last night. I was sooooo excited. I got it home, used it for 20 min. and it broke!!!! I bought the floor model, but still, it should hold up better than 20 min. after first use. I heard something snap in the rear wheel and then there was no more tension. I didn't do anything crazy on it, all I did was a normal workout. Now I have to lug it into my truck, take it back and hope they have another decent one in this price range, what a pain!!!! Why do companies even make less expensive ellipticals if they are all going to break. Just make the $2,500 ones if that is all that will actually hold up!!!!!!!!
