NordicTrack  C 900 Pro Treadmill

I bought the treadmill in Mar '12. It was great at first & then the problems started. The "speed up" control stopped working in July '12. I had it replaced. It stopped working again in September. I then noticed that the incline kept slipping & wouldn't stay at the level the control panel said it was at. In Jan '13 a bolt came out of the incline frame while I was running causing the right front of the platform to crash down to the ground. A repair guy came out and replaced the screw. In Feb '13 the treadmill stopped working due to a problem with the incline. Icon/UTS sent out a new console thinking this was the problem but didn't send instructions on how to replace the console & did NOT send a tech. ICON/UTS finally sent a tech in March. The tech found that the bolt holding the incline motor to the incline frame had sheered in half causing the problem. The tech had parts ordered but wasn't able to install the parts until April. Today the incline platform collapsed AGAIN. DONT BUY!

I've had this machine for about a year. It is used frequently by me (230lbs) and my wife (much less!). It has taken the abuse of my large body beating on it fine, the springs take the fatigue out of my knees. It may feel a little bouncy at first but you do get used to it. The speakers are great, beats wearing stupid headphones whenworking out!

Perhaps Sears didn't like my first review (not sure why). The "set a goal" function did not work from the start. Also, the control panel would randomly malfunction. 5 calls to Icon Customer Service. Failed software update; New control panel; and service to install new panel. Icon's service was reasonable with staff having varying degrees of expertise. Somtimes it took a request to speak directly with a supervisor to problem solve things. 3-stars. Had the C900 worked out of the box, I would have certainly rated 5-stars. I will absolutely return to Sears for other fitness purchases. Evan, the salesperson, was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful with our purchase. I certainly don't blame Sears for the problem. 5-star. Overall experience: 2-stars.

Had this for 14 months...incline quick working. They sent one part....no good. They sent a new motor.....no good. Now they are sending a control panel..... We'll see... Meanwhile I haven't been able to use my treadmill in over a month. Customer service is lacking..... on the third part I really expected them to send a tech...but no. By the time I'm done swapping parts I''ll be the tech!!! I won't buy Nordic again.

If you are looking for a good treadmill that has a long running surface, a good number of built in workouts, a cushioned running surface, a built in fan, and a backlit display, I would recommend this treadmill. If you are interested in the IFIT part of it, BEWARE! IFIT stands for "IF IT" works. The module has issues connecting thus not always automatically sending your workouts to your profile online. Street view is a joke that does not exist. According to their claims, while you are working out, you can view a street view of the terrain. What you see is an ariel map of where you are running. The program has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed before this becomes a useful part of the treadmill. Having said all of this, I am still happy with purchasing the treadmill. I bought the IFIT module as well which includes the one year membership,but I doubt I will renew it after my membership expires. Because the treadmill has everything I need,I foresee using it for many years without IFIT.

This is a nice treadmill compared to my last one. Good price, but beware that time shuts off at 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes) so if you intend to use it longer, find something else. Customer service was no help they said this is how their machines are built. It is not publicized, so I was running and all of a sudden the built stopped, which was dangerous. They said that maybe ifit might help it because it is a different program, but that's $99 plus 10/month after the first year. So if you are planning to use this for longer distance training beware.

I purchased this treadmill 12/3 from sears online (because it was $100 cheaper than in the store) We picked it up on 12/8. When we got it home the end of the track was damaged. Had to wait til Monday to call. I phoned norditrack they said they would ship out the piece and I should receive in 7 to 10 business days. We continued to put the treadmill together only to find out the computer screen was not working. Another call placed and they said they would ship me a new one. They apologized for the problems. They were very nice. In about a week and a half we received both items; put it together once again. I have been using the treadmill everyday for walking one mile. I am a 47 year old female who is about 150 lbs over weight so I wanted something that I could start out slow with. This is perfect. I would recommend it to a beginner. kk

My teenager uses it everyday for a about a year now. It holds up very well.

I just had my C900 Pro delivery and set-up (which is advisable) as it took the pros a little over an hour to set it up. Machine seems well made, sturdy, and solid. Quiet BUT, IF YOU WANT A MACHINE TO KEEP ACCURATE COUNT OF YOUR CALORIES, PASS ON THIS ONE! There is no way to enter your weight before using any of the programs. A waste, if you like to track calories! If I could return, I would.

I had this treadmill delivered and assembled by Sears. Two hours later I decided to use it for the first time and I didn't even make it 10 minutes when the power just shut off. The manual tells you to check the reset button by the power cord, wait 5 minutes, and reset it, but this didn't work. Even if it did, I don't want a treadmill that I'm going to have to reset after 10 minutes. Sears offered to send a technician out to look at it but I told them to just come and pick it up. I'll probably try the Sole F63 which was the other treadmill that I was looking at.
