NordicTrack  GX2.0 Upright Exercise Cycle

Had this for about 1 year and 2 weeks. After the one year warranty expired the control panel would not turn on anymore. The control panel controls the resistance so I could not use the machine without the monitor working properly. The replacement for the panel cost more than I paid for the bike itself.

I bought the GX2.0 in October 2012. I would ride 8 miles everyday and in February 2013 I was pedaling when the right crank arm sheered right off of the crank. I hyper extended my knee when it happened and scratched the side of my leg. I reviewed the 97 total parts the bike has and called Icon. They sent me a replacemen

I will say that when I purchased my NordicTrack bike initially it worked great with iFit. Then the fun started, I went to workout one day and iFit had performed an so called upgrade to the website. I lost all of my previous workout data, the data they migrated over was insanely inaccurate, the workouts were missing however the new premium content that you had to now pay for was present and the list goes on. Bottom line, is the iFit service is now worthless because it's broken. I cannot get anyone on the phone nor will they provide a refund for the months I have not used their service. They had a user forum which has been shut down due to the number of public complaints being registered. Do yourself a favor, save your money and your time.

Very quiet. Easy to move around. You need to people for some of the assembly but it is easy to assemble.

Purchased this bike through the Sears Rewards program so it didn't cost me a penny. Compared with other bikes I looked at the GX 2.0 is very well made, stable and surprisingly quiet. We get a very good work out on this exercise bike with the programmed training features. There is a hill climb and interval training mode to choose from that automatically varies the resistance that works very effectively. Although the console is not specifically designed for an iPad, surprisingly it will actually hold one in place as if it was designed for it. Many reviewers commented that the seat is very uncomfortable and upon the first ride I realized what they were talking about. But after a break from the bike for a day I continued to ride the bike with no problems as if my body had conditioned to the seat. Overall I am pleased with the GX 2.0, it is literally dead silent, it is very compact compared to other bikes and treadmills, has great features, and gives a great workout.

I owed a Giant Dualfit bike and sold it because I'm 5'3 with short arms and arthritis in my right shoulder. It was hurtful to continue utilizing the arms. But, I wanted a bike. After much research, my two options were a Schwin 150 and this Nordictrac. I went to Sears to see the bike and not only did they have the Nordictrac on display but also the Schwinn. The Schwinn looked like a toy to me. The control panel is made quite cheaply. The Nordictrac fit me perfectly with the seat being able to move forward and back. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the power pack. You must unplug it after use or the pack could burn out. But for the price, I don't mine unplugging it.

Put this together by myself first eve I had the bike!....tough for one but I was persistent....Quiet it is; and feels solid....works well.....no com- plaints about the seat that seems to be a lot of folks' problem.... Console does have an array of features although I'll use it as simply as I can... Decent sale price, under $300, and name Brand, can't be beat! I'm giving it a four-star rating, and reserving a five if it gives me mostly trouble-free useage for the next several years. I would recommend the bike to a friend or relative.

All the great things that you have read about the bike is accurate including the seat not being comfortable.  In my opinioin, the seat was a deal killer in my house.  My entire family is exercising in our home gym and we added this bike.  After one or two rides, half of the people using it didn't want to anymore due to discomfort with the seat.  Fortunately, we had a very old cheap bike around called a "Penta 80 by Formula" that had a more comfortable seat, which after shaving off the protruding mounting bolts with a dremel that were used to mount it to the original bike, what remained was a nice flat metal service.  I fitted the trangle shaped mounting braket from the nordictrack onto the underside of the new set, drilled small pilot holes, then screwed good sized philips head screws for mounting.  The screws were about 1/2 inch and had heads big enough to prevent them from falling through the holes on the nordictrack seat mount.  And that was it.  Problem fixed and now my family enjoys the bike.  Not sure how easy it is to find a replacement seat that will work.  I think I got lucky,

I purchased this bike after being diagnosed with a herniated disc in my back and cannot use my treadmill anymore. It definitely provides a great workout and is super quiet. I have it in my living room so I can watch TV while I work out. It does take two people to assemble, but the directions are clear. It would go quicker if you have a power screwdriver, but overall it wasn't bad to assemble. I recommend it.

Purchased this so I could "ride" during the cold months and to do something different in the exercise field. The pulse reader is hard to use and does not seem to be accurate. The seat is a bit uncomfortable as well. the good thing is I am doing something, just wish it was a little more user friendly. I like that you can listen to your ipod, except when you have to manually adjust tension it can be an annoying loud chirp with your music. I hope as I use this cycle more I will find all of the features like the numerous workouts and such as the instruction book does not help.
