Find the mid section of your ladder ( can use one for 8ft and below) Turn it all the way til it snaps in then pull it back towards yourself. That is it!

Not all 8ft+ ladders are designed the same. Some have heavier ends than others or its a 250LB ladder versus 300LB ladder. To get to the mid section you have to create a mid section with 2 carriers, as picture shows. 6ft and below you SHOULD NOT NEED 2 carriers, but 8ft
