Orion 10108 Heavy-Duty Cart for Large Dobsonian Telescopes - Featuring a rugged steel-frame chassis and three 10" pneumatic wheels this heavy-duty transport dolly allows the SkyQuest XX16g or SkyQuest XX14g to be rolled fully assembled from garage or storage shed to your observing spot in the back yard or driveway. The robust chassis provides a stable observing platform for the XX16g or XX14g when the three leveling posts are lowered and locked which allows the front wheel assembly and rear wheels to be removed so they won't be in the way while you're viewing.(The platform raises the eyepiece height of the XX16g an additional 4.5" to 76-7/8" at zenith. The XX14g's eyepiece height is raised an additional 4.5" to 70-5/8" at zenith). All three wheels are attached with quick-release hand knobs making for quick easy removal and re-attachment. The Dobsonian base is held securely on the chassis with three metal clamps. The long aluminum handle and swiveling front wheel provide easy pulling and maneuverability and the large air-filled tires ensure smooth transport over rough asphalt or grassy surfaces.
