This speaker can be split into two by removing the connecting hardware in the center. Then you have four great installation options to suit your room. Try a horizontal or vertical speaker layout and have them free standing or wall mounted. - Clear-mode dialog and dialog level control
By expanding the sound field in the upper front area of the TV screen, clear-mode dialog gives the sound greater depth. It also makes voices sound like they're coming from the center of the screen. Dialog volume is adjustable to 4 levels. This function is great for when dialog is drowned out by the surround sound and is difficult to hear.

Major improvement
This sound bar is a major improvement over tv speakers. I was a little disappointed that the subwoofer was not completely wireless. I had to go out and buy two cables ($48 more) to get it set up with my tv, but I am pleased overall.

Nice product
This soundbar with subwoofer performs very well with my television. It's pretty small and the soundbar can easily be used as a single horizontal unit or separated into two small pieces. The audio from my television is much nicer. The purchase from Sears was very reasonable and delivery was free and timely.

I wanted to spend all kinds of money, punch holes in the ceiling, run wires all over and just get crazy. Talked with a Sears associate and he recommended this system to 'start out'. I don't think I'm going to do that other stuff. For the money...and the size of my room, this is hands down an awesome system. The only drawback was I had to go purchase a cable from the TV to the sub-woofer. Would like to have known that ahead of time. Great value!!!!

Great sound
I bought this on sale for a great price, much cheaper than other options out there. It looks good, and sounds great. There are a few different settings to adjust voice and bass sound, perfect for me since I just wanted something better than the tv speakers. The VIERA link is great, it's so simple and easy to use I wouldn't go with anything else. My only complaint is that I had to buy the two cables to connect it to my tv, which raised the cost a bit. A HDMI cable and a digital optical cable because my tv is 3 years old and isn't ARC compatible. Also, the white speaker wires are odd since the unit, and most tvs, are black.

Pleasant Surprise
I had investigated a number of soundbars prior to selecting the Panasonic. I replaced a traditional surround sound system to be more in line with the size of the room. I am overall impressed with the sound quality of the panasonic. The one drawback (thus 4 stars) is the system lacks a display panel either on the sound bar or the sub. The ARC works perfectly with Panasonic TV.
