By increasing the frequency of error correction up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phones range is extended. The DECT 6.0 phone KX-TG4034B won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. And because its digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.

    DECT Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level.   • Intelligent eco mode
    This clever feature automatically lowers the power consumption when you're using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. When less power is used by the handset to communicate with the base unit, battery life is prolonged which results in less frequent charging and can result in fewer batteries in landfills.
  • Call block
    Store the caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your homes call block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls from them. After their information is stored, they'll get a busy signal if they call you again.
  • Silent mode
    Now you can program each handset to ring or not at your discretion. For example, before you go to sleep, set the bedside handset to Silent Mode so that it wont ring for the duration of your slumber. In the meantime, the handset in another room is unaffected, and rings as usual.
  • Talking caller ID
    Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling; using text-to-speech technology, the caller ID information is announced in between rings!
  • Non-slip handset
    Multi-tasking while you are talking on a cordless handset - whether it's jotting down a quick note, pouring a glass of juice or folding a few pieces of laundry - is often difficult due to the tendency of the handset to slip as you cradle it on your shoulder.     No number of messages on main unit light

    This panasonic handset has been easy to use and has more features than the vtech phones. if you want features this is a great phone. The one thing I wich they had is a number of voice mails led on main unit instead of a flashing light. have forgotten to check messages beacuse i could not figure out a way to turn on an audible alert for messages which my old phone had. What this phone has instead is a written alert on every phones message window on how many messages were left and you can actually play them from every phone, which is what newer phones might be all be going to start doing from now on. These phones also have a feature to amplify the signal or use and eco mode to save energy, which is not much considering its a phone. So if you like phones with many features stick to panasonic, mediocre features would be AT and T and least Vtech. Some times i have gotten phone in use when other phones were not on , so i dont know if its a glitch or because my home alarm is connected to the same line. but i just turn on and off and walla it works again.
