PORTER-CABLE® 9690LR router gets power from 1-3/4 peak HP motor, providing 11 Amps and 27,500 RPM. Auto-release collet system, with 1/4- and 1/2-In. collets, prevents frozen bits. Router has precision-machined aluminum motor housing and base, accurate micrometer depth-of-cut adjustment to 1/128 In., and 100-percent sealed ball bearings. Under-table stop prevents motor from inadvertently rotating out of base.

Great Router
This Porter Cable router is very durable and a great price. I have had this router for about seven months. It has never let me down on a prodject. The only thing I don't like is that the blade gets stuck in the collet and is hard to get out because the collet locks the bit so hard it doesn't come out easy. I would buy this router again if it needed to be replaced.
