As you may know, Consumer Programs Incorporated (“CPI”), which had operated for many years in Sears’ stores under the name “Sears Portrait Studios” closed on April 3, 2013.
Sears was saddened by CPI’s sudden closure. Since that date, Sears has been working with CPI to try to minimize the impact on customers from CPI’s closure. CPI has since filed for bankruptcy.
In addition, Sears is examining our options for a future portrait offering in our stores.
To assist CPI’s customers, in addressing your concerns regarding recent orders made with CPI, please see the information below:
- Sears has arranged to have all completed orders taken through March 30, 2013 shipped to your local store. Those orders should now (or in the near future) be available for pick-up from your local Sears store.
- CPI has informed us that they will not print orders taken after March 30, 2013. Please contact Sears Customer Solutions Center at 800-549-4505 with questions regarding such orders or any other outstanding orders. Please have your receipt available when calling.
- CPI has informed us that they CPI will complete and ship paid orders placed on SearsPhoto.com directly to the address given at time of order.
Copying of Existing Photos
Sears has also worked with CPI to obtain CPI’s permission for you to make copies of your existing photos. CPI’s release is available here. You should print a copy of this release and take it with you when you ask a third party to copy your photos for you.
