      Good value November 24, 2006

I have had this bike for 9 months. I use it about 5 days a week and 45 minutes a day. This is a very durable bike in my opinion. I like it. The seat can be a little uncomfortable at times, but it's not a big problem for me. The use of battery can be an issue. I change the batteries about every 3 months, but I've never turned on the fan or used other features like the fitness/exercise programs. I only increase/decrease the resistance. I also like it because it's very very quiet. I can listen to music or watch TV at the same time. I would recommend this bike for people who are looking for a basic stationary bike.

Console broke, cost to replace more than new bike? January 10, 2011

ProForm XP Exercise Bike, XP 70 is a comfortable bike.  ProForm XP Exercise Bike, XP 70 did not last very long though.  The third set of batteries was all it could out last. ProForm XP Exercise Bike, XP 70 $250 bike the console was a $189 repair.  Just sits there now.  Without the console, there's no way to adjust the resistance.

A pretty good deal at the sale price I got. December 22, 2011

When buying an exercise bike, be sure to try out all the floor models. Is it strong & sturdy? Is it silent? Comfortable? I have been using different kinds of these bikes for 20 years now, and almost all of them need extra cushioning for the seat, which can easily be improvised with pillows, etc.

      Disappointed with purchase

Timer never worked, seat adjuster became stripped June 30, 2011
      via Community Review
      By jcinpa of Easton, PA

The timer would not work on this bike. And after a few months of struggling with and taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together, I called the service center. Of course the warranty had expired and they would have to send someone out to look at it. The cost just to send someone out was nearly half the cost of the bike not to mention how much the replacement part would have cost.

Two years later, the seat adjuster is stripped and does not hold the position you select.

All in all, it was a waste of money. This was not the first stationary bike I purchased; but this was the worse for this price point.

Excellent bike, but with a few oversights January 31, 2007
      via Sears.com
      By JasonC of Virginia

I bought this bike just to lose some weight; therefore, I did not want to spend alot of money. I have been using it almost constantly for almost a year and only a couple of problems have surfaced. Firstly, the peddle straps broke repeatedly after a couple weeks of use, but I believe that is due to my cycling pace of ~24-25 mph. This problem is easily fixed with a trip to a bicycle shop and 15 dollars later, instead of ordering from Proform which will set you back 50 dollars. Secondly, the handle bars do not attach tightly to the bicycle and vibrate, but again I do not use them. Various noises come from the bicycle, such as popping and grinding noises, but go away after a a couple minutes of use. Assembly was straight forward until it came to put the instrument panel onto the bike. The small screws that came with the bike would not go through the plastic and into the metal and I needed to drill out the holes a little and the screws with right in, but this may be a problem for those who are not mechanically inclined. Overall, this bicycle has served me well. I have not been known to be easy on excersise equipment , but this bike has survived a year with constant abuse. This bike would be much better if a couple of the small oversight were corrected at the factory with a redesign.
