Bike is ok when it works. Seat is somewhat uncomfortable, but ok if you put a pillow on it. 4 "D" batteries required to operate electronics are a waste--changing batteries every 2-3 weeks is not enviornmentally friendly. After about 9 months of use the display/control panel died. Without the display/control panel the bike does not work. They want $198 for a new display/control panel. Until they get rid of batteries to run the bike, and display/control panel problems noted by other buyers I would not recommend buying this bike.

A great bike for the money February 07, 2007

I was surprised to see so many negative opinions posted here on the XP 90. I've been using mine for just over a year now and have found it to be one of the best bikes I've ever used, in a gym or at home. It has a sufficient number of computer functions to satisfy (with the exception of the heart rate monitor which is just too difficult to use and rely on; get yourself an inexpensive wrist HR monitor instead) and I've only had to replace the four D-cell batteries once in a year. While I wouldn't say that the XP 90 is a Precor, I will say that at $300, it's a VERY good deal. Off all the bikes I looked at in the low-medium market, I chose the XP 90 and haven't regreted it once. I use it every single day.

I enjoyed the bike however I returned it. The seat gets uncomfortable after awhile. The biggest issue I had after two weeks was the Display started to fail, 1/2 the time it would work fine other times it would just be all scrambled and I had new batteries. After reading the other reviews on here I would assume anyone who buys this will end up with a dead bike and have to replace the display within time to have it work again, junk. I ended up buying schwinn.

I never used the bike until 6 months after I bought it and the electronic panel was already broken.
