Excellent Space Maker
I needed more room in my 2 car garage. There is no possible way to expand the garage horizontally so the only option was to utilize the vertical space. I have ~12' ceilings in the garage so there is plenty of room for this kind of apparatus. The construction of the rack is pretty sturdy and I feel safe loading it up with ~200 lbs worth of stuff. Be sure to use the proper hardware when mounting this to the ceiling joists.

It works well but could use a better lifting system
We bought this system to remove some of the clutter in our house. Get the very little used items up and out of the way. The platform is sturdy and as long as you have a 2nd body to help you get the support arms in the proper location on the ceiling while you bolt it in, your good. However, it could use a better way to hoist and lower the platform. The crank is less than ample enough and its quite a task to get it to go without giving you fits because it slips out of the notch while you raise or lower, although lower is easier. If you dont require some items like totes and boxes and the like, this will work. But if you need into this stuff a lot, look for another system of storage. Perhaps an electric motor attachment for this and this would sell like hotcakes. I would buy another one!
