Where are the old BIG drain trays with end opening
I agree with the dissatisfied customers who have already commented. I too need the old larger size and design drain tray, and have driven myself crazy looking for it anywhere I shop. My old tray finally cracked. I desperately taped it to be able to use while I continued my search. No where to be found. To heck with the retailers need for whatever; listen to your true customers. We need the old, big trays back! I want cream or white! By the way, I did NOT purchase a new style because I could tell it wouldn't work....

Awful drain board
I purchased two new drainboards this week because my old ones got burned. We usually put our coffee cups and silverware from our morning breakfast on the drainboards until we have time to do the dishes. However we can't put the cups or the silverware on the new style because they are slanted enough that the cups and silverware slide right off into the sink. The same thing happens when you are washing the dishes and place them on the drainboard. Back into the water they go. The older style drainboards were a bit flatter. I have no idea why the style was changed. I have used drainboards since I was married 53 years ago and I have to say that these are the worst I have ever used. Why fix something that is not broke. Your company seems to be the only ones who makes a drainboard like this so why not make several styles that would satisfy all your customers.

Disappointed

Very disappointed with the new style. I have used the Rubbermaid Dish Drainer and mat for over 30 years and the older style was constructed much better. Since purchasing the new style I always have water draining on the counter. The mat is not the same as the "old" style. You will only loose sales. You should bring back the old style drain board and mat. I'd rather have paid a little more for the older set.

Dish Drainer and mat

I have used the Rubbermaid Dish Drainer and Mat for over 40 years (replacing them occasionally). Well, I just bought a new one that is supposed to be anti-bacterial, etc. and it is horrible. The mat is more like a hard plastic and the drainer slips around on it. Plus the sides are not deep enough to hold the water. My old one was more of a rubber like material. I bought the small drainer and mat in the bisque color. Not very happy. I probably will return it. Please go back to your original design. I have always used Rubbermaid products. Thank you, Unhappy Loyal Customer

Do product designers ever wash dishes by hand?

Large Drainboard #1182 Aside from being clean, this new product is no improvement over our old Rubbermaid one, the new one is a double disappointment. It will not fit over the lip of our stainless top-mount sink. It is too short to reach the sink. And the slope is nowhere near enough to drain water. There is no reinforcing under where the dish rack feet would go; the old one is well-used and depressed enough in the four corners so that water pools there, making it deficient as well. We are going to return the new one and try for a different system. To improve the old design, there should be another 1/2 inch rise along high, back edge--so it actually drains fully, and it could be at least an inch bigger in each direction so that mugs, when hung on the rack holders, actually drain onto the board, not the counter. We need the drain board with the long-edge draining to the sink. Thanks for considering our note.

Poorly designed product.

I need to replace my old Rubbermaid drainboard due to a hole. I purchased this board, but promptly returned it to the store. The angle is not correct for all the water to drain, the sidewalls are too shallow and water runs onto the counter. Thankfully--I still have my old drainboard. Guess I'll fix it with some duct tape until I find a suitable replacement. So very disappointed in the Rubbermaid brand. Usually I can count on that product line.

Drain Tray

I have used your products for years and been totally satisfied. However, I have a problem with your new style drain tray and hope I will not have to look for another manufacturer's product. In the past I have used the old style drain tray with the short drain end. I find the new one does not work well at all. I have to angle it so the water drains into the sink and not on the counter. If the tray is accidentally moved (very easy to do) the result is water on the counter. The angle at both ends of the front should be raised even more so water drain into the sink. Are there any plans to manufacture the old style once again?

Drainboard drains on wrong side for my needs

I want to replace my old large drainboard, which is cracked on the draining end. It is the old style that drains on the short side. This is the only way it works for me because my sink is at an angle in the corner of my kitchen. The new style makes the set-up awkward and I don't like it. Please bring back the old style. Some of us don't have dishwashers and need a good set-up for the amount of use it gets. Also, my dish drainer remains on the counter all the time, so I need it to look presentable, which is another reason why I'm looking to replace it.

Worst product change ever!

I've been purchasing Rubbermaid for years and always loved your dish drainer but about two months ago I had the bright idea that we needed to replace ours. The new style is terrible!!! My husband didn't say much at first but last week he finally asked me to get rid of it. He hated it too but didn't want to say anything. The drain board is too rigid and slopes incorrectly which causes water to drain on to the counter. Why, oh, why would you change something everyone loves? And stupid me donated the old set to a charity so I guess I will have to go to Goodwill to see if I can buy it back.

Drain board flaw

I needed to replace my old drainer and drain board, so I headed to the Rubbermaid aisle as I have for years. The problem I found was that the boards now drain along the widest side not the narrowest end, which fits most sinks. This causes water to drain over the counter and behind the faucet, causing water damage and a constant mess. I have read many reviews both at your site and at store sites, no one is happy with this new design. I can appreciate the fact that the new board is slanted to improve drainage, it just needs to drain into the sink.

Worst drainboard ever

Like many others I wanted to replace an old Rubbermaid drainboard. The front lip on the new Rubbermaid board is too short for the water to go into my sink. I suspect it is designed for undermount sinks, which I don't have. The leg hits the edge of the sink and wanter spills onto the counter. If I lift the leg onto the sink edge, there is insufficient slope, and the water spills onto the counter. In addition the rigid plastic is slippery, so the drainer moves unexpectedly and the water spills onto the counter. Really tired of moppping counters, mopping floors, and doing dishes in wet socks. If I could have given zeroes I would have.
