Very large refrigerator! December 29, 2011

We prepare for large family gatherings on a regular basis.  Hence, it made sense for us to invest in a large 30 cubic ft refrigerator. 

Really love the fact that the doors hold large items like milk containers and that the ice maker is part of the door vs taking up additional storage space. 

Having the ice maker / water dispenser large enough to place a pitcher into.

Would have been better if the shelves had more options for adjusting to different sizes.

Was concerned that the larger size of the refridgerator would cause us to lose room in our kitchen; however, we have hardly noticed the difference in size.

Was very pleased with how the delivery team moved the new refridgerator into our home.  Watched them as they worked and no bumps occurred as the refridgerator was moved thru doorways. 

Would be good if the delivery evaluation could be filled in on-line also.  Waiting for a phone call from an unknown caller is not productive.

This frig is big and gorgeous love love it !!! only 2 weeks old no problems hopefully none will occur very quiet compared to the 15 year old kenmore it replaced love the soft drink rack and wine rack....big freezer compared to the old refrig!!

Our previous refrigerator was also a side-by-side, but only 26 cu. feet. Because of this, I was considering changing to a bottom-freezer to have a wider capacity in the refrigerator. But I didn't like the thought of having to bend down everytime I wanted something out of the freezer. With seven people in our home, including a 6'3" husband and an aging mother, that would get really old, really fast. When I saw this model and how much more room it would be with 30 cu. feet, I decided that this was the one for us. At first, I was concerned about having only three shelves on the door, and non-adjustable shelving inside the refrigerator but as it turns out, the shelves are quite roomy with ample space for our needs. The added feature of a can rack is also nice to cool canned drinks. I love the deep-set clear shelving and drawers that lets me see clearly what I have. Since I don't have a need for the bottle rack, I took it out and lowered the shelf so I can put my tall items like milk and juice containers up top. I LOVE the extra space! For a family of 7, we really needed it! The ONLY thing I wasn't too happy about was that the ice-maker took a long time to accumulate ice. Being that we use ALOT of ice daily, it was frustrating at first. I solved this by deciding that I would use one of the drawers in the freezer as an extra ice-storage bin, both for our family's use, and for whenever we have other people over. The roominess in the freezer makes up for a smaller, slower ice-maker.

I thought this was going to be great until they delivered it. It had parts broken and would not make ice but the water did work. Then we noticed it leaked from the front water line (not the back one) all over our hard wood floors. Not a lot of door space because it has little tiny bottom shelves which are only an inch x the width. A big waste. The LED lights look great when there is no food in it. When there is it is so dark you can't see anything. The store told me to pick another fridge and they would replace it. Going back to Kenmore
