    I bought this Samsung LN40A550 from Sears and had it home and installed in less than half an hour. The picture is so crisp and the sound is amazing. You can set up your viewing to watch it in Sports, Movie and other modes to fit the program you are watching which tunes the picture and sound to that program. My kids have watched 102 Dalmations and Ratatouille on it and the picture is amazing. I have watched hockey games and the reds, whites, and blues are so vivid you would swear you were at the rink. I can't wait to buy a Blu-Ray player to hook up to this TV and get the full experience.

    We bought this online through Sears.com for an incredible (I think) $899. The hookup was incredibly easy; I simply unpacked it, plugged it in, and connected the satellite cable. There was a fairly simple and short on screen menu (language, antenna/cable option, etc.) and then we begin to use it. Although we have satellite service, we haven't yet splurged for the extra $10 per month HD service (plus whatever upgraded equipment is needed), but even w/out that, we are happy with the performance of the TV. Color and sound are good as is the viewing angle. Overall, we are definitely pleased with our purchase and would recommend it to others.

    Before buying this TV, I did a lot of research. It was pretty highly ranked but there were some complaints about the sound. I think it is excellent in every respect including sound. The blacks are dark and clear, contrast is excellent and the controls are easy to use.
