The optical IS compensates for hand trembling by shifting the lens in the opposite direction.     Pros:
    The screen on the front is genius.
    Cons:
    A bit complicated to use at first.

    As pocket cameras go this one is really terrific.  It is perfect for taking pictures at parties and events.  I seem to be the one who always takes the pictures, but with the screen on the front, I can be in them.  It lets you line up the shot perfectly.  

    The power cord that doubles as a USB cable makes for one less thing to tote when I travel.  And the battery holds a charge through a long day of sightseeing.

    There are at least a dozen presets in the SmartAuto setting and they all seem to get the job done, turning out nicely exposed, focused pictures with vivid color and sharp detail.

    This camera is excelent.  It does take a bit of time to get use to all the features on it and how to navigate the menus, but if you spend the time to learn, it will work very well for you.

    The dual screen works great.  I've had no issues seeing either screen.  The camera also features most of the common options such as the beauty shot (my wife loves this one), and face detection.  The batteries last long enough for my usage, about 350 pictures max in one day, and are easily replaced if it runs out.  The memory card is also easily replaced if needed.

    The one drawback to this camera is that the battery must be charged in the camera.  It can be charged both through a computer USB port or a wall plug.
