    The Samsung DualView TL205 is a pergect birthday present. August 07, 2010

    My 8 year old grandauter loves to use my Cannon Powershot but the last time she gave it back to me it was candy sticky. Not wanting to turn-off her desire to take pictures I only mentioned my sweet disapointment. Came to be her birthday a month later so I took her to Sears to pick out a present. Wouldn't you know that after walking all through the store, trying on clothes, sampling video games, we ended up in the camera department. After about 15 minutes of looking we zeroed in on the Samsung DualView TL205 ... I bought it for her.

     

    Let me tell you, she is having a ball with it ... the perfect birthday present. With all of the accessories that come with it she has everything she needs to splash her 9th year of life with colorful pictures ... and maybe the beginnings of a lifelong endeavor.

    Produces good image quality for the price. October 12, 2010

    The Dual View by Samsung is capable of taking good images under the proper circumstances.  Those circumstances include situations where the flash needs not to come into play.  It is difficult to control the flash in the Auto and Smart Auto modes.  It flashes when a flash is not needed even when I choose the "no flash" setting.  I guess 'Auto" really means 'Auto.'  When this occurs, pictures are 'whited out.'  This is not a good thing for a point and shoot camera; auto mode should be the defualt setting for most situations.  With this flash issue that is not the case.

    Other features and modes function well enough but there are many comparably priced cameras on the market that will do better.  I would include low-end versions of Cannon, Nikon, and Sony as much better point & shoot cameras in terms of image quality and functionality.

    I got this camera and could not be happier with it! It takes awesome pictures, clear and the lighting is always good. I love the fact that you can see you shot from the front. One of the best point and shoot cameras out there!
