I already had a Proform Treadmill and 3 years ago decided to add a Proform ellipitical. I just had a total knee replacement and was using a recumbent cycle in therapy & decided to complete my home exercise room with this bike. It does take 2 people to put it together ... it took use 2 hours but everything was marked well and easy to do with no parts missing. I love exercising with both my recumbent cycle.

Surprise #1. This is the smoothest & most quiet piece of fitness equipment I've ever purchased for home use over the past 40-years, and there have been many.

Surprise #2. I discovered that the Schwinn Fitness, Bowflex, Universal, and Core Body brands are all part of Nautilus Inc. Schwinn's name recognition and reputation has always been very high on my list but, having been a member at several fitness clubs, Nautilus was THE standard to emulate.

Surprise #3. I admit that I was a little disappointed when I saw that dreaded, "Made in China" printed on the box. I almost canceled my order. The real surprise was that this product appears to be extremely well made. The hardware kit is very substantial, assembly instructions are clear, the welded parts of the bike seem sturdy, and the finish and detailing are very eye-pleasing. I only gave it 4-stars since this reflects my initial impression and experience. Time and continued use will determine if it deserves 5-stars.

Surprise # 4. It's been a while since I've purchased anything at Sears but I found this to be a real pleasure. Since it is a one hour drive, I called first to make sure the on-line inventory was correct. It showed one available. The salesperson checked and verified they had one, in a box. (Not the display) Although he couldn't hold it for me, he suggested I purchase it on-line and that would reserve it. Did that and within 30-minutes, I received an e-mail that it was ready for pick-up. We got there and pulled into the Merchandise Pick-up Area and a Sears associate came out, in the rain, and took my copy of the e-mail and went back in to get the product. I wish I had gotten his name because he was so helpful and pleasant.

Surprise #5. I went on-line this morning to submit this review and discovered that the price went to $599. Yesterday I paid $479. At yesterday's price, it was a "no-brainer" and I jumped at the purchase. At today's price, I'd hesitate a little but now that I have seen, and used the bike for a day, I believe I'd still buy it. It's that good.

Surpise #6. As hard as I've tried, I can't comment on any negatives. The fan is quite small but it does move air in front of you. I probably won't use the mp3 feature - that's what headphones are for anyway. The unit is stable and sturdy, The console is clear and easy to use. What's not to like?

If you want a good, low impact workout with an excellent ergonomic and quiet piece of equipment, this is it!

This recumbent bike has a comfy seat and smooth action. I like that I was able to put in 2 different users so that my husband and I can work on our own levels and not have to remember where we left off. The bike is a little on the long side, but it has a big open passthrough for your legs so you don't have to get your leg up over the center beam.
