So far it seems like a very good deal
At first, I was so disappointed since the instruction say to use the same temp as the (non-convection) recipe dictates. I burned everything. Then I googled and found that one should always decrease the temp by at least 25 degrees. (I usually subtract 30 now) Now I'm very satified but Sears should correct the directions in the mannual. Oh, I am a little bothered that I bought this mostly to cook 12" Pizzas but I haven't found a 12 pizza pan that fits inside. They are too little or too big. I found one that almost fits and I'm planning on bending it to make it fit. Does anyone know where to buy a Pizza pan that's 12 1/8" round?

      Don't Consider!
This toaster oven is the eptime of awful. I have had it for just about a year and it never toasted right so we always "toasted" on the pizza setting. Now that doesn't work. It is just a waste of money and I will never purchase a Kenmore counter top aplliance again. We have had a run of bad luck!

      Worst oven ever!

I orginally had a Kenmore Elite, that is what I thought I was buying this time around. As it turned out, it was not the same. Oh well, I thought I will just use this. I did not like it right from the start. The Elite I had prior was the best convection oven and this oven has went from bad to the worst. It now burns everything, no matter what the setting or temperature. This is going to the trash because I am looking for a replacement.

This Kenmore 6-Slice Toaster Oven burns my waffles every day

I have used Kenmore products over the years, primarily washers and dryers. I needed a Toaster Oven since mine wore out after several years of use. We went online to check out large capacity toaster ovens. I picked one out and my spouse went to the store to pick it up. Every morning, unless I want my toast or waffles soggy, it burns them. I waste more waffles on this crappy toaster oven and I am tired of it. It looked good but looks aren't everything as we found out owning this piece of junk. Every day I get aggrivated by it. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy.

      Kenmore 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven

I just brought this home and I have to return it. The green power light does not turn on. Also, the top of it gets EXTREMELY hot. This is known, however, as there is a warning on the top of the oven. Overall not happy. I will be purchasing something else.

      Like it

Purchased this item to replace my older toaster oven and like it. Bought it to match my stainless steel Kenmore appliances. Works great. My only complaint would be is that on rare occasion I get a little bit of a rattling when it operates. But its nothing I can't stand. Sometimes lightly tapping the side of it makes it stop. Over all, like it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Three's a charm

So far I had to bring this toaster oven back twice. The first time was due to excess noise/vibration, the second time the knob melted off after using it for the first time. So now I'm on my third one in a matter of two months and so far it seems to be working. The first two were white and the third is a red one. Maybe red is lucky I don;t know. Now that this oven is working I'm very happy with the results so far. I'm a big fan of roasted  vegetables and this oven does an excellent job with the convection feature and very fast at browning potatoes and carrots.  It also does a great job with baking brownies and roasting a small chicken. It has the potential to be a great toaster oven but I think the quality of the overall product is not there. I hope my new one will last for years but not optimistic.

I did my homework; this is tops!

I really looked far and wide for a toaster oven; read the reviews, before settling on the Kenmore. It's built well, easy to use, and overall a solid buy. I'm single and live in a tiny apartment and needed something to cook with. This was a great addition and I'd buy another in a second.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Kenmore Toaster Ovens look like a good value

I really like being able to toast a lot of slices at one time.  These larger toaster ovens usually require getting to know exactly how much time it takes to make the perfect toast.  Once you determine how much time it takes to make your favorite toast you simply remember how many minutes to set the timer on and the temperature to set it on (usually "Toast" is the highest setting) each time you toast.  These size ovens are great for those larger loaves of whole grain bread.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Easy to clean crumb tray, good capacity, easy control dials.

Like the different features -- haven't broiled yet, but the convection oven does great baked potatoes in 30 minutes or less (how big is your potato?).  I think this is a very good value for the price.  We bought it primarily as a toaster, and it is a little tricky to get the timing right, but worth the effort.  I haven't tried broiling yet.

A dial stem broke almost immediately, and Sears had no replacement part.  We had to return it for a whole new oven!  Not very efficient.

Otherwise, a sturdy, attractive, easy to clean unit.  A good purchase.

      DISAPPOINTED CONSUMER

toaster oven looks nice-one of the few that comes in white to match my other Kenmore appliances -one of the reasons I bought it.

The toasting feature is very poor- never toasts on the bottom unless you stand there and turn the item yourself. I have tried all different settings-it either burns the item or undertoasts it. Not good for toasting. Since the whole idea of a "toaster oven " should be to TOAST -I do not recommend. Convection ovens do not toast well-cheaper ovens do better.

I will be returning this one and getting a lesser value oven but hopefully one that toasts without manual help.

      Great for baking small portions

Great for baking pork chops, potatoes and small pizza. I find the toast setting to be a bit sensitive, i watch the bread to avoid burning toast. Overall I a good money saver when I dont have to turn my stove oven on.

Ours broke after only 18 months.   Just won't turn on anymore.  Toasting time was always unpredictable too.  Don't waste your money.

      terrible design

We have been using toaster ovens daily for the past 25 years, this was our fourth one. The nicest looking but the worst one too. The temperatures are hard to figure out. Broiler comes on bake? The top of the box gets burning hot to the touch. In fact it seems to have no insulation at all The roasting pan which is included is made from a very hard to clean alloy -definitely not aluminum. When I tried replacing the roasting pan with a non stick I found out that as big as this unit is it's not wide enough for a standard 13" baking-roasting pan. Its mostly wasted space on the counter. It's extra deep but the door does not pull the tray out when you open it and the pan sits some 4" inches back from the door making it hard to reach but all too easy to burn your hands doing it. This apparatus was designed for looks without any consideration of its practicality one star is too many

      Good toaster oven

This replaces a cheap old wedding gift toaster oven. We use it mostly for toasting french bread & bagels. The size is great and it has a warm feature that works great as well. The thing does cook quick and hot, so common sense will tell you to cook at lower temperatures for a shorter period of time. But to compare what we had in the past this one is great.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Looks nice, poor cooking results

This oven looks very nice on the counter, but what good are great looks when you have to stand over it while in use in an attempt to cook or heat up your food properly? This oven's temperature control is not accurate and the temperature you set is not the temperature you get. If you like burnt or undercooked food or don't mind adjusting the temperature over and over again, this oven is for you - if not, please select a different appliance!

      DEFECTIVE, BURNS FOOD

As stated by others it burns food. After checking the operation of the unit I found that when the unit is in the bake selection; the broiler element and the bake element are both on at the same time, along with the covection fan making noise. The history of these problems should have been realized sooner and the product removed.

      want 2 cook not burn

I purchased this toaster oven with hopes of learning to bake in it. When I preheat the oven for 5 minutes or 20 minutes I have burnt everything I have put in it. I have adjusted the preheat time and the temperature, but I think now I am going to adjust the model I keep in my kitchen to another unit. Keep looking...

      Don't Buy This

Do NOT purchase this product. My previous Kenmore Toaster Oven worked great for 5 years (until the door fell off!). This replacement is garbage. Within 30 seconds of turning it on, this product started making a load noise and produced so much smoke it had to be turned off (note: nothing was in the oven yet, I was just warming it up). After turning it off, the top of the oven was so hot, I could not touch it, and this was after it had only been on for 30 seconds. This is a complete piece of garbage and certainly not worth the $60 sale price.

      Only Lasted 18 Months

I am usually a fan of Kenmore products, but this oven only lasted 18 months. The baking fearure knob and mechanism broke just past the warranty period. While it worked, it was great. Pick another oven.

Very nice toaster oven. Clean lines. Looks good on the countertop. Great value for the price I paid. (Got it on sale.) I wanted/needed a larger toaster oven and this one even fits my medium/large caserole. Used it to bake lasagne which baked fast and came out great. Because it is convection, caution must be used or else food could burn. Keep food covered in foil until close to end of bake time. Then, remove foil to crisp or brown. The one main gripe I have is the top of the oven gets extremely hot. Other than that, I'm happy I went with Kenmore again.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
