On my second one. First one broke after about 8-9 years of moderate DIYer use (main "driveshaft" broke). Happy with that ROI. Have a number of C3 tools and happy with most.

Tried to use this to do bathroom cabinets, motor got hot and eventually the drive gear became disengaged so it stopped vibrating, I opened it up and found the motor mount was plastic and wallowed out so the drive gear would no longer engage the pinion, It also has the absolutely worst on/off switch, Being a person with large fingers I found the switch very difficult to operate as it is flush mounted with a small pad. I had to take the very tip of my finger to engage the switch. Craftsman engineers need to redesign this switch along with the motor mount. More venting for the motor wouldn't hurt either as it becomes pretty hot with extended run time

Last piece to complete the C3 series tools. I like the way you can quickly change tools and use the same battery system for each. The batteries charge quickly and I have never had to stop working due to the batteries.
I bought this as a gift for my husband. He has the a lot of the c3 products. He loves this sander, he uses for household jobs. It is a great tool to have on hand. I only wish it came with a battery!

I bought this on a whim to sand down some epoxy prior to painting my garage floor. It's designed for wood, so I didn't expect it to be ideal, but it did a fine job of scuffing up the (hard!) epoxy in preparation for painting. Surprisingly, the triangle pads last quite a while. On a full standard XCP Li-ion battery charge it lasts about 20-30 minutes. Recommended.
I had already bought a Craftsman Impact Wrench that came with a Li-ion Battery pack so this was a no brainer for me. I do projects around my house and hand sanding lead to many blisters. Waited a bit till it was on sale and got it for around $20 dollars. after getting it i have been sanding and put it to good use. IT WORKS GREAT! I did worry if the handle and the way it is designed, compared to other sanders, might interfere but once you have it in your hand you can find many ways to hold it while sanding. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE, i wish there was a better range of sanding pads. The C3 sanding pads available now, which i bought along with the sander, are good and well priced but still wish there were more options and larger quantity packs. The sander also has channels that channels the wood dust out the way so it doesn't interfere with your sanding. The saw dust escapes through the gap right above the craftsman logo. The Li-ion battery LAST A VERY LONG TIME! I sanded for a long time and the battery still lit up green. Overall its a great buy!

I used this to remove splinters on my deck and it does the job. Also removes old paint although it take some time to do that. It comes with sand paper so all you need is a recharged battery and you'll be all set.
the C3 19.2-volt pad sander is a great addition to my collection of the other C3 tools, the portability of battery power makes is a very handy tool,.... for even a small quick job, grab it, use it, and done, no cords, no outlets, no delays, ,,,,,the 19.2volt battery provides plenty of power,... buy it, you won't be disappointed
I don't know if I'm using it wrong, or if it's intended that the forward point does all of the sanding, but that's how it works for me. Does a great job and fantastic at removing material fast. Very glad that it uses a standard size sanding pad since it opens you up to a bunch of options that are not available in store.
Very good sander. I already own multiple C3 tools so adding this was a no brainer. The only downside is that you have to buy the sandpaper from Sears and you cannot select which one you want. Each package comes with 1 fine grit, 1 medium grit, and 1 heavy grit. I would like to be able buy the grit size I want and not all three.
I had a small project to do and was in need of a sander and since I already have a few C3 batteries I decided to give this little sander a try. I have to say I was impressed. Has the power to sand real well. It's lightweight. Overall not bad at all.

I have the other tools that go with the battery pack except the samder. It is easy to use and works great. Now my set is complete and I have made good use of all my tools. No cords to get in the way and I can handle the weight.
