Good tools with bad batteries
I am using Craftsman Since 1999, I have 19.2 volts drill, angle drill, hammer drill, saws. Tools qualities are good. But have 19.2 volts bad batteries. It works like 3 or four months. Craftsman has to start a program to re place the defective, with new one, at sears store. Or sale the batteries at half price for existing customers. Because the 19.2 volts diehard are expensive. Gets the job done

Had to install 20 new window blinds. This drill was perfect. Not too heavy and with two batteries I never had to worry about no power. Will get same model for a gift.

Did what it should

I purchased this item to install some curtain rods at my home. It just so happened that my girlfriend needed here installed as well. The battery lasts well, it's also easy to use. I'm not really a "tool guy" but it's worked out well for me so far.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Solid drill for a great price.

We purchased our first Craftsman C3 drill about 8 years ago and it was very durable. We're happy to buy another one for the next 8 years. It's not a lithium battery but still performs well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good drill

As with most craftsman tools they may be a little higher but the quality constructed housing is seems stronger and more durable than some of the lesser known brands.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Lighter and more compact

Lighter, more compact, and easier to get into those tight places. The chuck is improved too -- it can now tighten on even the smallest of drill bits.

Good tool

Good drill w/good warranty.Nice weight, balance & power. Recharge time about average. Could have used second battery. Cost about the same as national discounter w/2 batteries and add on warranty for no name tool.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Okay...but...

Needed a drill driver in a hurry, and was in my local Sears store, so I bought the one on sale. Gutsy little drill-driver, bur no case or spare battery, and batteries are pricey...

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Quality is a winner!

After my previously owned Craftsman cordless drill was stolen, I thought I could survive with my old corded Craftsman drill. Although it worked fine, as it has for more than 20 years, I missed the flexibility and convenience of the cordless version. Now that I have this new drill, I am a happy home DIYer!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great value, Great tool

I have had a number of Dewalt cordless drills and the batteries do not seem to last very long. I have had great success with the ni-cad and lithium ion batteries used on the Craftsman products and I am sure this one will be just as good.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Excellent tools - bad batteries

I own a large number of the 19.2 tools. Because of that, I have a good number of the 19.2 batteries of all varieties including the lithium ion and (chargers). I use the tools occasionally in a manner similar to any handy homeowner and take good care of my tools. Having said that, the tools themselves are great and a good value. The problem is the batteries. I have maybe started out with ten including two lithium ions. I am now down to two, one lithium and one C3. The rest are dead with what seems to be internal shorts, even just sitting idle. This is terrible and not experienced with my Hitachi and Dewalt cordless tools. I also say this as an electrical engineer. If the tools were junk, I would say you get what you pay for, but that is not the case. At the danger of giving Sears too much credit, it appears to be a great marketing strategy since once you build up a set of tools, you are more or less forced to buy batteries given the investment in the tool inventory. Basically, you buy one of the drill deals to get the batteries and then throw away the drill or one of your older units. I have done this three times and now seriously considering switching to Hitachi, where I am starting to build a tool set, which are fantastic, especially the small 10 volt system (get the refurbs). Sears, at least, should have a "battery club" where you can turn in 5 dead ones (or just the cases to save mailing costs) and get one new one in return. This would cost them little and keep loyal, to this point, customers.
