not useful for use with compound sliding saw
The holes do not line up to the saw that I purchased. Even though it was recommended for the saw that I purchased. I was overcharged for this item. I bought it on a black friday sale for what I thought would cost $84.99 but was charged $99.99. Will probably return this for something that fits the saw that I bought. I am disappointed!

Great Stand

This stand works great with my electric compound miter saw. Easy to move the saw from place to place in the garage.

Bad design...cheap materials

Owned this stand for about 10 minutes prior to taking it back. I'm a huge craftsman fan; bought this stand hoping it'd go with my 10 inch job site table saw and was immediately disappointed. The design is not very good, there's virtually no way to set it up without nearly smashing your hand. The height is right for a miter saw, but far too high for a table saw and while it's rated to 300lbs, the narrow base plus any top load like a long board make this a wobbly contraption. I wouldn't put my expensive saws on it. The plastic, especially on the carrying handle is very flimsy and the wheels leave a lot to be desired. Lastly, there's no point to a stand like this if you can't break it down, set it up, and store it with the tool attached which I would never recommend attempting with this stand. I went with a couple of saw horses and a sheet of ply for my table saw. It's much sturdier and I saved some money. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

Very poor design

This has to be one of the worst folding stands made for 2 reasons. 1) the holes do not line up for all tools. Universal is not what this stand is. 2) It is impossible and dangerous for one person to try to setup or fold this stand. The position you have to put the stand in to slide the legs closed and the very high likely hood of pinched fingers makes it unsafe and dangerous to the user and possible damage to the tool.

Great Tool Stand

I returned a less quality stand for this one, and what a difference. This stand is sturdy, easy to use. Portable with tool attached. One of my best decisions was to get this stand. Another reviewer lamented about the size of the wheels, and I must agree. Would have been nice to have slightly larger wheels which would have helped going up steps and moving over rough terrain. Other than that, it is really nice.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Versatile stand for most shop and mobile applications

This stand comes assembled and will fit just about any toll you would need elevated. It is lightweight, easy to move around and seems pretty sturdy. While it may not be the "ideal" miter saw or bench grinder table, it is versatile enough to accommodate almost any tool that is not too large or heavy. I plan to bring this to my daughter's house to help with a project so I can stay off the floor and move it from room to room via the wheels.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Tool Stand

Who would have thought at first glance this stand can hold up to 300lbs? Not me, for sure, and to be honest I was skeptical about it supporting my beast 12" miter saw. And it does that, I should add, beautifully. Pre-made holes and an adjustable and lockable table top make this a snap to change between tools if necessary. It also collapses down easily, should you need to do that. Taking it out of the box to assemble it is as easy as unfolding it. The 3" caster wheels are deceptively small in the photo, and they do hold the weight of my miter saw nicely when I movie it around. This was a tool stand purchase I do not regret. If you need a tool stand with portability, I highly recommend this to anybody.

Folding Universal Work Table

May be universal for 10 inch miter saws. The 7.25 sliding compound miter saw can be rigged up to sit on it but I could only manage to get two of the four mounting holes to line up with a slot on this table. Also not crazy about the way the table locks when opened up. If you try to roll it with a saw on board the lock pin wants to come out. Maybe its just me.

Universal ain't universal!

I bought this stand to use with Sears "Professional" router table. The holes do NOT line up and I'll have to resort to plywood to join one, then the other - assuming I have that plastic "Professional" router table around long enough. Sears has joined that cheap, nasty lightweight brigade and one can scarcely find good quality, sturdy tools and stands. This is all about simple physics - the more mass, the more an object resists movement = STABILITY!! Also - apparently some folks don't mind using the same stand for various tools, but I do. I have a separate stand for each tool so I can go to it and use it immediately. In addition, frequently swapping tools can alter settings that affect accuracy and safety.in operation.

Craftsman Universal Tool Stand

I bought a craftsman mitre saw and this table and oddly enough they don't fit together. I'm returning the table and hopefully I can find one that will work with the mitre saw :( Kinda disapointed since they are both craftsman.

Good bench for good price

I bought this for my husband for Christmas to go with 10" Craftsman miter saw. It works great supporting the saw, AND his other Craftsman powertools. The only thing he said it was missing to make it 5 star worthy is an actual side table to put his work on, so he uses a seperate stand. For anyone who thinks it doesn't fit other standard Craftsman powertools, simply loosen the screws on frame and adjust it to the width of the tool you're using, then tighten them back in place. It is an adjustable stand that's strong and sturdy for most any home project.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

piece of junk

I found the stand far too weak. Thhe first time I tried to use it, it folded up like a cardboard box. I don't know if repairs are available but I would repair it if I could get the required pieces. I think it could be convienient but it definatly will not hold up to 300 lbs. I put a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood up on it and it folded up like an accordian.

I own one & haven't had any problem with it.

I don't know why other people are having so much trouble with mounting Power Saws on this folding Stand? I have one that I mounted a Craftsman 12 inch Slide Miter on it and did not have any trouble mounting the saw on it. The other people must not have had a Erector Set to play with when they young like I did.

Doesn't fit the Craftsman saw I bought

At the store, I was assured this would fit the Craftsman sliding miter saw I purchased (Craftsman 12'' Single Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (21239)).

I had no reason to doubt them... after all, they're both Craftsman tools. However, when I got it home, the holes did not line up; the table arms could not be widened enough to let all four bolts attach.

The table does have an adjuster, you can widen it a little more than it's set to out of the box... but as wide as it would go, it still wasn't wide enough for this saw. This saw is not a high-end specialty saw; it's a standard Craftsman miter saw.

When I called the number on the saw's documentation (there's no number for the table), I was told that "Craftsman is just a brand, the tools are made by all sorts of companies. They don't collaborate on their designs". I asked him what table would be compatible... he told me he would have no way of knowing.

Excuse me? When I buy a Craftsman tool, I don't expect any old company to be making it. I expect tools to be compatible. I expect there to be a central place I can go to to discuss any issues I have, regardless of the tool or who made it.

A very enlightening experience. One that left me extremely displeased.

Strong, easy to store.

I received the Craftsman Folding Tool Stand as a Father's Day gift.  It was ready to go to work right out of the box.  There was no issue with mounting all of the different power tools that I have.  The adjustable top was easy to operate and mounting my saw and router was a snap.

Good stand for the price

Really nice stand for the price. And for the record you can adjust height. Sure, I would have preferred a commercial type but I wasn't paying $250 and up. And as I am a home handy man this is fine. I find using some weight over the bottom bars works for fine cuts. Light but sturdy and easy to use and pre-assembled. I switch between my miter saw and bench grinder and scroll saw and am quite pleased. For under $70.00 it is a good buy!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
