This is an excellent set for any homeowner or for anyone doing mechanic work as well. I always keep a set in my pickup truck as well as my shop and the house. For the price it is almost unbeatable. It is also still made in USA.
Under 20 bucks for this set and having the Craftsman lifetime warranty is hard to beat. And the set said "Made in America". WooHoo! I hope that is completely true. However, I've noticed the quality of the tools declining. But so has everything else in the last few decades. As the saying goes, "They just don't make things like they used to." One of the flat head screwdrivers that came in the set was defective. The metal shaft was actually stuck in the molded plastic handle completely crooked.
I went to my local Sears store looking for a screwdriver set. I was pointed to this by a worker as it was on sale. I am just starting my tool collection, so this is a great set to have with the different lengths and a few different sizes.

I have been purchasing Craftsman tools for over 30 years. I bought this 17 Piece Screwdriver Set to have a greater range of sizes to choose from. This set meets this requirement perfectly. These tools are sturdy and well made. I look forward to using them for many years to come!
Who wouldn't love these drivers? Color coded handles make it easy to grap the right tool for the job. Craftman strong and priced right. What else can you say about a great set of drivers?
I bought this for my daughter for when she is older. I trust the Craftsman name. I have the same set of these drivers for myself. They are not Mac quality, but they are good, reasonably priced, and if won ever fails, Craftsman will replace it free. How can you go wrong with that!?!?
I received these as a birthday present from my girlfriend. They are a great set and I couldn't be happier. I work at an auto refinishing shop, so these were definitely a must for me. I use them every day and I wouldn't trade hem for anything else. I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for an all around amazing set.
Contains a good variety of sizes for different jobs. I am not sure how I want to organize them. blue/red handle to distinct between Phillips or flat head. however on the small technician size one the color scheme is wrong. good solid construction. i have not pry anything yet so do not know how soft the steel is.
This set has a good variety of both flat and Philips head screwdrivers at a good price. This is the second time I have purchased this set, only because the kids lost most of the more regularly used ones over the 20 years I had the first set.
Even when not on sale, this screwdriver set is the best value around. It has all of the most commonly used sizes. This set is perfect for both the basic and advanced user. I have purchased these sets in the past (one for shop, one for each car, one for garage) and they have never let me down. I find the handles to be quite comfortable and I like the color coding. Both the handles and steel seem to be very durable. I have hammered on and abused mine and they still work great.
I tried to find screwdrivers that I needed in the larger sets, but other than a shorty #2 phillips driver to go with the P1 that this comes with there hasn't been anything I needed.

This combo set of Craftsman screwdrivers is great. It has slotted and phillips in lots of sizes. In early June it was on a great sale, regular 34.99, sale 14.99. I purchased this as a graduation gift. With the lifetime warranty, this gift will continue giving long after I'm not here.

While these screwdrivers don't have any fancy ergonomic handles! No free spin handle till you squeeze it! Nothing has changed with these in the last 50 years!! And trust me! At 65 years of age, I'm speaking from first hand experience!! I am still using some of the original pieces from the first set I bought when I got my first car!! Now if a tool lasting 50 years without fail isn't important to you, then maybe you should pony up and get ergonomic handles, and screwdrivers with clutches in the grip. These were good enough for the first 50, I'm sure they'll fit just fine in my son's hand when I'm gone!!
