This set was bought to allow me the versatility of having a couple of ratchets at work on stubborn nut/bolt combinations like those found on the front end of an old car! We were trying to loosen up the front of my son's '76 Firebird so we could replace the bushings and found that a second ratchet would really help out and it does!
Well built and guranteed forever at a price I can afford! Thanks Sears!

This is a great tool set to be placed in my truck along with other tools in the event of a break down other situation. I have also purchased another set for my wife?s car. I would recommend this set to everyone.

Looks pretty good but doesn't have the ratchet-to-socket tightness of my ol' USA made inch set from decades ago. Ratcheting action is smoother and finer though. Made in China but for 10 bucks (sale) I can't complain, plus still great Craftsman lifetime warranty. I was pleasantly surprised by how large the socket sizes go up to. The snap on the case looks much better than my old case that broke when it was still relatively new. Case also has extra space for other goodies and mine was bigger than the one pictured (holiday season upgrade?). Great stocking stuffers and to have in the car trunk or anywhere a portable socket set is nice to have.

comparing to HD & ******, can not beat the price & the # of sized sockets. it's a good "just to have go to" set for the casual handy person or not so handy person. strong, solid, durable! & convenient case so sockets not all over your tool box!
Small and compact, but still gets job done without having to lug around larger socket set when doing small jobs. Also, really like the latch / hinge system on the case because it feels like it is built better and should be more durable than most plastic cases. Don't see this feature in the product photo right now, but mine came with an extra little storage compartment within the case ( I use this for loose bolts, ect.).

A shame they are not made in America anymore. Compared to my older tools, not finished off as well. Still, craftsman. Pleased with the set and sale price. Spare set for car. Like that the case has a little room for extra storage.
Great socket set for price. Case way to large for content, and would be more efficient if smaller. Likely will toss case in order to conserve space in tool chest. Wasteful shame.
I don't know how many times I have had one of my children assist in an assembly project and wanted an extra socket & ratchet. This is a good starter set for each of the children and more economical than purchasing extra ratchets.
Over the last 40 years, I have assembled 4 different sets if Craftsman hand tools. They have always been a reasonably priced, quality item that I have used personally and professionally. You can't imagine my disappointment when I opened the case on my most recent purchase. I immediately realized this was not the quality product I have known. I immediately looked for the small print on the packaging. I previously never thought about doing this as Craftsman tools were high quality, made in USA. My suspicion was confirmed. My new purchase was now made in China. After purchasing Craftsman tools for over 40 years, I will from now on look to buy another, made in USA brand. Highly disappointed.
So I found myself needing more tools at work even though boss said no tools needed haha yeah right ! so I picked up this little set and the metric set to toss in my box at work along with a set of deep for each and couple of old extensions I had in my home box. day and night now use them every day the ratchets are a little shorter than the standard 3/8 ratchet I got with my 309pc set b/c each set has its own ratchet now I have a extra short 3/8 one in my home box the ratchets themselves are worth the 10 bucks and extra tools are never a bad thing.
