I was skeptical about replacing a nickel-cad battery for my cordless drill, until I purchased the lithium battery and charger. The new battery is smaller, weighs less, and lasts about four times longer than the two remaining nickel-cads. I also can re-charge both styles of batteries, and in record time. Great upgrade!

I had 4 Ni-Cad batteries for my 2 drills, cordless circular saw and reciprocating saw. I could get a hour or two with the drills, but I could only run my saws about 3 minutes before they would kill my batteries. Very frustrating given how much $ I put into this tool collection. I decided to give the Lithium batteries a shot. Holy cow! These things are workhorses! I can run my drills litterally for hours without running out of juice. I just last weekend I cut down my old fence with my reciprocating saw and I used it for over 30 minutes before the battery died. So awesome. And these batteries charge super fast and when they are out of juice, they just shut off. No slow power drain, they go from all out to zero, which is great. If you have a collection of Craftsman power tools and are looking for a great upgrade at a reasonable price these batteries are the way to go

Old Cadmium battery died, new 19.2 v Lithium Ion battery charged up fast, and simply works. Very happy so far. Charger works better - has a "holding" refresh charge that keeps the battery ready to go.

First off I love the fact that you interchange these batteries with all your Craftsman battery operated tools. Since I don't have all the money in the world to buy more than one battery at a time I can switch the battery to the tool needed at the time of work. Second this battery lasts way longer than the regular Ni-cd battery. I approximately got an extra 5 hours of work out of this thing Vs. Ni-CD battery. I can't tell you yet how durable it will be I skipped out on buying the extended warranty and hoping it was the right move.
Stays charged longer than my old 19.2-volt nickel cadmium batteries and can also charge them. After talking with two stores in Phoenix, AZ, I found a store representative that knew that the new lithium 19.2-volt batteries are compatible with all of my old C-3 19.2 volt tools. He also had a chart in the store that I could easily use to compare all of the 19.2 volt batteries chargeable use times which was very helpful in deciding what to purchase.
My old C3 batteries were at the end of their life and couldn't adequately power my reciprocating saw for more than a minute. I got the lithium battery and charger and what a difference. The battery doesn't get overcharged and my reciprocating saw ran for everything I needed which was over 30 minutes without any hint of power loss.
My old ni-cad batterie was dead. Would not hold a charge. I bought this battery and charger kit after reading someone elses experience that their old charger would not charge the the new Lithium-Ion batteries. So I spent a little more and got a battery plus the charger. Happy I did because the new charger also charges my old ni-cad that I thought was dead. The new Lithium-Ion are so much lighter and last longer, so that is great too. Happy that I can use my power tools again.
I purchased an open box clearance item. The Lithium 19.2v Battery. I have the other basic 19.2volt nichel battery packs and chargers. When I saw this in Sears clearance/used section, batter and charger pack, it was just what I wanted/needed. I used it the following weekend. It is much lighter in weight than the basic 19.2 NC one.
