Not Happy

I have owned this product for 15 min. In the process of removing the tool(s) from the holder I was able to obliterate the markings on the front with my thumb. Namely the sizes. That's not so bad the individual wrenches will have the size embossed on them. That's the part that makes me "Not Happy" no size markings on the wrenches.

Overall
Decent tool, but finish is not up to par.

I bought this inch set of hex wrenches to set up another tool chest. Right away, I noticed that the fit and finish are not up to the standards of my older American made set of hex wrenches. I like to spin the wrenches around in their holder in order to have easier access to other wrenches. This tactic is not practical with this set due to the way the holder grips the wrenches. There is too much roughness when I try to rotate the wrenches. The wrenches themselves don't give me the feel of my other set. The quality of steel is not the same and the poor finish of the tool holder cuts down on my efficiency when using the tools. I want higher quality and I am going to return this set to the store. I will buy an American made set.

Craftsman CM HEX KEY ST 13PC BL END; American Quality!

The Craftsman CM HEX KEY Standard 13 Piece Ball End Set is an excellent addition to your toolbox.  It has nearly every size standard "Allen" type wrench you will ever need.  The plastic holder is unbreakable and extremely functional.  The ball ends are a lifesaver when trying to access cramped fasteners.  Oh, and American Made!!

Great set - a little tight on the short end at first

Great set - the ball on the long end really helps speed things up.  The short end was a little tight at first, then it got in the groove.  Our Sears store has a limited assortment of hex tools.  This set is great and is the usual Craftsman quality.  I'm happy.

Handy set to have around

This isn't a necessity for all tool boxes, but a nice addition to any tool set. Just another example of one more tool in the arsenal when all other allen keys can't be used.

The difference here is the ball end. Great feature to have.

These are best used in limited access areas where other allen keys can not be used. On the smaller sizes, i would definitely watch the amount of torque used on them. Easy to bend or break if too much torque is applied, but that is due to the thin shaft of the smaller keys, not the quality of the tool.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Gift

Bought these for my husband, as a gift. My husband loves keeping himself busy doing projects around the house or helping family members fix things. I see him using these all time. He has never said one negative thing about this set and my husband is very good about speaking his mind, gift or not.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Outstanding set held in fine package

A hex set of allen wrenches needs to be in your tool kit and this is an outstanding set.

First off you need to own several sizes to match applications you come against and this set has what you will use 99% of the time. Sizes are often ultra small to medium and you have them here.

One great feature is the plastic holder. This holder could not be better because it holds the wrenches tight so they don't move. Each piece will turn to locate a given size and one wrench at a time can be pulled for use. In this process you can search for an unknown size by turning all the wrenches outward and systematically fitting wrench to application in an elimination process until you find the correct one.

This set is doubly useful because one end is squared for normal use. The other end is built on a round ball for use at an angle or when your wrench will not fully fit. Awesome idea !

When looking to fullfill your tool needs or start a kit, look at this set. It has sizes you will need, is priced well, takes up little room, is indestructable and the red holder makes it easy to spot. This ones a winner !

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 13 pc. SAE Ball End Hey Key Set is a must have.

I purchased these to go in my rolling tool chest and my 1/2" drive field service set.  They dropped right in the drawer in some extra space next to a wrench set and they also fit well in the metal tote tray of my 18" Craftsman metal hand box.  The long arm gives you extra leverage when you have the room to use it.  A ball end enables them to be used at an angle, and the other end can be used the regular way.  The plastic caddy appears to be stronger and holds the keys better than the other hinged caddies.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wouldn't buy it again

I ordered a few sets for work and the are not what I was looking for. The ball part of the key is only good for about 10 degree angle. Should've gotten a Bondhus set.

Hex key set

I held off getting a complete set and I regret that. Being able to use the correct size is well worth the price. The ball end allows you to work at angles greatlt simplifying some jobs.

Great Product!!

I got these as a set with SAE and Metric together which was a great value. One of the smaller wrenches broke which is pretty common with that size but Sears replaced it without any problems. The row of smaller wrenches on the bottom are hard to get out of the holder if all of the wrenches are pointing in the right (like in the picture). I always rotate the bottom row to the other side which makes it a lot easier to get the wrenches out. Highly Recommended!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.
