Craftsman Ductile Iron C-Clamps are a must have

I bought a set of these to use in my workshop and out in the field.  They were a great bargain when they were on sale.  They dropped right into my carpenter's tool crib.  My workbench has a very thick wood top surface and these clamps open up wide enough to clamp to the thick wood members.  I even used them to clamp some wood landscaping timbers together when I drilled holes to pound rebar stakes through.  These are a must have for a good tool collection.

Made in China

A Craftsman Hand Tool made in China!

The Armstrong clamps are made in the U.S.A., cost a lot more, but worth it!

Well made clamps. Good bargain

These clamps are stout and well made. Very good value for the price. The swivel end is not a cheap stamping found on junk C-clamps. Don't expect to have any problems with these

Quality that last

Sure I could have bought this item somewhere else but when I look back at my grandfather's tool set and father's tool set I always find a functioning Craftsman C Clamp. That's why I purchased one of my own and have been satisfied with my purchase since.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Dependable clamping

Unlike some other Craftsman stuff now made in China, this clamp seemed to be made and finished well. It held strong when I used it.

Good in woodworking shop

Great clamp for the money. It'll get there when my 3 & 4 inch clamps aren't big enough & bar clamps are too big.

You can never have too many C-Clamps

I inherited over a dozen Craftsman 6 Inch Ductil Iron C-Clamps from my father, plus a few other shapes and sizes of C-Clamp. They have definitly stood up to the test of time. Over the years we had used these clamps for many different projects, and except for the jaw width or the throat depth not being big enough, they have served wonderfully. I myself have used and abused thes clamps numerous times, and only had three failures. One I managed to torque so bad the jaws bent out of alignment. With a large bench vise and an even bigger pry bar I was able to straighten it out. The other two failures involed the swivel cup coming off. One of these was a direct exchange down at the local Sears. The other I was able to re attach the cup and the clamp is servicable as ever. Mine were all made in the U.S.A., I am not sure how the "new" Chinese made clamps will work, but will be giving two of them the same treatment as my old ones in the next coming weeks. I will let you know how they work out.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice C-Clamps for the price!

After breaking most of my 6" harbor fright C-clamps I started to buy craftsman's 6" C-clamps and have swapped almost all of them out by now. So far I haven't broke a single craftsman C-clamp, and I have abused them :) I would say if you need some good 6" C clamps without breaking the bank these are for you!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 6 in. Ductile Iron C-Clamp

I first purchased my C-Clamp over twenty years ago. It has worked well for me ever since. However, the 'wobble' side of the clamping surfaces finally gave away. The part where it attaches to the threaded rod separated. I took the C-Clamp back to Sears to test their return policy. Sears did not have the size that I returned so the clerk gave me the next size up! Thanks!

Strong clamps

The Craftsman 6 Inch Ductile Iron C Clamps are strong and tuff clamps and do not distort when pressure is applied to them. I used them when I am welding on projects. I used them when clamping broken components down on mower decks while repairing them. I used them while doing some wood laminations. I even used them while doing some work on my son's boat. You can use these on almost anything and they will hold whatever you are needing held. MY last project that I used them on was when I was working on my shop extention. They held my C perlin perfectly while I welded my clips onto my pipe frame.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for welding and other projects around the house

The Craftsman 6 inch Ductile Iron C Clamp is a tough clamp, that sees alot of work time in my shop. I use this clamp mostly on my iron and welding projects, but to use them on other projects to. I bought these clamps when I started an add on on the front of my shop anbd needed something to hold my c-perlin on the structural 2 7/8 inch OD pipe frame. When I have the clamp tightend on my structural pipe, they also make a good grounding point for my Lincoln AC 220 welder. I also use these clamps when I am butt splicing two pieces and use angle iron and a couple of these clamps to keep my pieces straight, while I am welding on them. Them clamps are strong and hold my work pieces very well and do not slide around, while I am working. They hold their shape very well while they are under pressure and do not disort when pressure is applied. tough clamps to have around the shop and have many uses for them.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Its a C Clamp

They are basic cheap C clamps.  I needed a few for a project, so picked them up, and they work fine, but nothing real special.  Was sad to see after i brought them home they are no longer made in the USA.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Versatile clamp works from nill to 6 inches wide

There are times when you need help pulling pieces together and this Craftsman 6 inch ductile iron c-clamp is just the ticket.

I have learned that eventually you will need c-clamps as well as bar clamps but for small jobs these iron c-clamps are ideal in size and work great.

I have had need numerous times for a clamp that did not need to be long or extremely wide but just needed to hold tight and pull together stubborn pieces or hold them as glue was setting. This 6 inch clamp is easy to store without a lot of room. On the job it spreads wide to handle most applications you need it for. The cranking end has a slip handle that works fully pushed to one end for leverage or centered for quicker spinning. The plate contact surface is big and prevents scarring. The material is built to last as well.

All my clamps are tightened onto a single span of cabinet 1 x 12 for easy access. I find I often need two but bought three. Maintenance is done occasionally by a spray of silicone and little more is needed. Uses are endless, cost is minimal, and having it when needed is satisfying. A great buy.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
