DYSON makes a great Vaccum, DC07 worth every penny!

The Dyson DC07 is the best vacuum I've ever purchased.  I decided to splurge on a vacuum for my very first place and chose the Dyson because of its carpet/bare floor feature and because Dyson has an outstanding reputation for great suction.  Because I have a very hairy dog, I needed some serious sucking power! The vacuum itself is very light and compact for easy storing.  The DC07 has a detachable hose for stairs, overhead fans, curtains, etc.  I've found the detachable hose and accessories very helpful during Spring cleaning!

The Dyson website is amazing as well.  I broke piece on cleaner and jumped on-line to try to find the piece to replace.  I found the Dyson website very helpful and super speedy in solving my problem.  I purchased the new piece for my vacuum in 5 minutes, it was delivered to my door step in 5 days!

The Dyson DC07 is a pricey machine, but a solid investment!

Dyson
My husband gave me the Dyson for my Birthday to replace an old Sears canister I had been using for 20+ years. I gave up the beast because the hose was splitting. I like how the Dyson sucks up the dirt from my area rugs. I also have wood floors and it does a great job on them. Love also the easiness of emptying the dust canister. Now what I don't like about the Dyson, you go to carry it up or down stairs and the little hose attachments at the top of the canister tend to come lose and fall down to ground. Also I hate to have to deal with the cord (you have to undo the whole length of the cord to use the hand attachments). And the number one thing I hate about the Dyson, oh sure you can stretch the hose out, but don't do it under suction. You pull it just a little far out and the whole unit comes running after you. This was the greatest disappointment by far. I have high ceilings and I was hoping with this "17 foot long hose" I could get those nasty webs up in the corner. NO WAY. Once the unit is on it is near impossible to pull it to the length they say you can go to. I am not a weak person and it is a fight to get it stretched out to more than five feet. A weaker older lady will not be able to handle this unit. The last thing I don't like about the unit is that it has such a high profile in the front that I can no longer use under my bed nor in my kitchen under my cabinets like my old Sears canister could. Oh you could spend another $50 for that attachment but again, wrestling with the hose under the bed is an experience. Ever had a machine come crashing into you unexpectedly? If one just want an upright machine, then this is a great machine. But to do other task, you are better off with canister style machine. Just my opinion.

We love our dyson to say the least. It has so much power! If you have a Labrador or any other dog that sheds hair like crazy you will have a new profound respect for this machine. It picks up all hair in one swift sweep and its super easy to empty. Love it!

Pricey but worth it

Love this handy vacuum! I can run it through my house in 5 minutes and pick up EVERYTHING. We have carpet, tile and wood floors and the Dyson runs over of it quickly and easily. We have high ceilings and the long wand makes a quick pass over the top of the drapes effortless and it gets in all the nooks and crannies. The cons would be the price and the short battery life, but I'm so happy to have it and I would buy it again.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

My Beloved Dyson Vacuum

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. This machine is actually fun to use. It does a great job on my rugs and also on the hard floors, with a flip of a lever. I have recommended this vacuum to many people and those who purchased them, love them also. It is easy to push and cleans deep down into the pile of the carpet. The machine comes completely apart for easy cleaning. Best vacuum out there.

I love it

This vacuum is great at picking up dirt and leaving both carpeting and hardwood floors clean. The canister fills quickly because it does work well, and must be emptied but it is easy to empty. I was actually surprised by how much more it picks up than my old vacuum. I would recommend this product.

AWESOME

I received this vacuum as a gift. BEST GIFT EVER! The price... Expensive :( I just found the warranty paperwork for it and I can not believe mine is 4 years old! It is in fantastic shape. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats in the house. I should have gotten the Purple/animal one, but This is Great! Light weight, easy to turn, self adjusting floor/rug height. Super Sucking power! I vacuum every other day (one dog has long hair). vacuuming was always my favorite household chore But, This Dyson makes my life a Whole lot easier:) Well worth the Money! When/If this one dies, I will buy another! My Only problem with it is the cord. I wish it retracted.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Absolutely Perfect

I have purchased the Dyson Vac. It was a little pricey and I was unsure if I really wanted to spend so much on a vac but when I got it home and put it all together and used it in my living room I immediately wanted to clean the entire house. This machine is absolutely perfect and I highly doubt I will ever use another brand again. I sucks up everything. I love it so much that I am saving to buy the purple one because I have pets and then I can have one upstairs and one downstairs. If I could give it a hundred stars I would. This machine is perfect. I never thought I could love a piece of cleaning equipment. You definitely would benifit from having this machine if you have an infant that crawls.

Dyson DC07 all floors upright

my sister bought a dyson recently, and she let me use it as my vacuum was out of commission at the time. OMG!!! I AM SOOOOOO BUYING ONE OF THESE IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS. Wonderful wonderful product; cleans like no tomorrow and very easy to use as far as cleaning floor boards, windows, ceilings and kitchen floors. Absolutely love this and would recommend this product to anyone over purchasing another's name brand vacuum. Keep up the great work with super products like the Dyson ball.

The Dyson DC07 is awesome!

I bought this vacuum a few years ago, and it was worth every penny. I have two dogs who shed like crazy. This vacuum is the only one I have had that can actually pick up their hair. Granted it doesn't pick it all up at once, but it gets the job done. Its easy to empty drum, no bags necessary. I do wish it was easier on stairs, but that's all.

Dyson lives up to its reputation!

After a few break downs over the years of other vacuums, I decided to give Dyson a try. Sure, it is expensive, but well worth the money considering how much I spent fixing/replacing other vacuums over the years. The Dyson really does not lose suction! It cleans very well and makes a noise to warn you, if for example you hit a carpet end that can clog a belt. It is not heavy at all and can be transported with ease from room to room. I can't believe all the dust and particles that it picked up from every room! This is especially important for allergy sufferers. I highly recommend this strong vacuum

Best Dyson vacuum out there!

This Dyson vacuum cleans carpeting, hardwood, tiles, you name it. It's easy to empty when the canister gets full and it has every attachment you would ever need. I've used the attachments to clean vents, blinds, under couches, in the corners of my kitchen, my couch and on top of frames and hung mirrors. It's a bit heavy for me so I do get a workout when I clean all of the floors in my house but my husband doesn't think it's too heavy. Dust and hair tend to get caught in the bristles which can decrease the vacuum's efficiency but it's really easy to pull it all out once in awhile (although a little gross).

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Dyson vacuum is the best.

I received my  Dyson vacuum for Christmas from my mother.  She has one and loves it and wanted to make sure me and my sister both had one for our homes.  I clean because I have too, not because I like too.  With this vacuum it makes it fun for me to clean my house.  It is so easy to use.  I love how easy it is to dump it out and put it back together.  I always feel so much better when I can look and see all of the dirt and dust that are no longer on my floor.  I would recommend this vacuum to everyone.

oh so happy

I recently purchased this vacuum and have used it three or four times. It is truely amazing! I cannot begin to tell you how well this vacuum picks up. We live on the FL coast so sand is an issue for us. The Dyson picks up sand from carpet with ease. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. It is not heavy or awkward. Cleaning of this machine is so simple. If you are hesitant about spending this much on a vacuum don't be...you will not regret your purchase.

disappointed in C'ville

My son recommended this vacuum after he bought one and loved it. I have been less and less impressed with mine. It doesn't go under my kitchen cabinets and on bare floors doesn't seem to have much suction. It pushes around small broken pieces of dog food rather than pick them up. On the positive side, the cord is nice and long, and the unit is light weight. And it cleans rugs fairly well. Using the hose is not convenient, but once you have detached it, it does stretch a good distance. If I were buying a vacuum now, knowing what I know, I wouldn't buy this.

This is a great invention!

My husband just bought me a new Dyson DC17 Animal. We have a german sherpard and two house cats. I could not believe how great this vacuum worked! I thought my floors (including new carpet) were clean but I vacuumed when I got home with my new Dyson and......5 containers later I saw what clean really was again! It made my carpets look brand new, including 4 oriental wool rugs! Thanks for inventing this great time saver and helping me have better air to breathe indoors!!! I would most certainly recommend this product!

Worth it

Like everyone who buys a new vacuum, I ran my old machine (Bissel) and then the Dyson. I actually ran the old machine a few times just to make sure the new "mother of all Vacuums" was what it said it was. After the Bissell stopped picking up anything I sicked the Dyson on my carpet. I was amazed. After using it for a week, I noticed a DRAMATIC drop in the dust in the house. My old vac was always dusty from throwing dust back out into the air. The Dyson is still shiny new. I figured with not having to buy bags filters or worry about repair costs for 5 years I would spend just as much if not more on a lower priced vacuum. I am pleased I did. My mother now wants me to bring it over to her house for a trial run because I won't shut up about my new toy...and I'm a guy. The hose fit my old "paw" so I did not get their hand held beater bar. The other attachments that come with it are all I need. I could see wanting the hard wood attachments if I had cabinets that were a little deeper back near the floor boards. Best $350 I will spend this year.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not Impressed

After reading reviews for 2 months I bought a Dyson. I was not impressed. First, I already had a bagless so seeing all the dirt being picked up was not exciting at all. My Hoover Windtunnel Twin Chamber picked up plenty. I ended up taking the Dyson back because it did not pick up paper very well. There was a back of a bandaid on the floor and I had to go over it 3 or 4 times just to get it up. Then a small piece of a Granola bar wrapper (I have 2 boys) was on the floor and the Dyson just pushed it forward. It did not suck it up like my Hoover would. I am guessing it's because the front of the Dyson sits so far to the ground that it pushes anything larger then dust. I called Dyson and the rep said "yes that happens you need to use the wand". What a pain. Who has time to mess with the wand when you just want to get a quick vacuum in. Anyway, after 6 years my Hoover Twin Chamber has become too messy. I am tired of washing the filter and the cup (which you have to do with the Dyson as well) so I am going back to a bagged vacuum. Much cleaner!

I love to vacuum now!

I absolutely had to have a Dyson, so I bought this one. I'm pregnant and I'm nesting big time, so I use my Dyson every single day. We live in an apartment and the carpets smell like dog, but I've noticed that the smell has faded since using this vacuum. Even while using it everyday, there's always something in the bin. Mostly hair and pet dander. It also makes the room smell cleaner. The cord is super long so you're not constantly switching to another outlet. The hose is also long, so it's good for stairs. Emptying the bin is really easy. Just hold it over a trash can and pull the trigger!

The Best

Well worth the money. I have wasted more than the price of this Dyson on other vacs that lose suction after a short period of time. I cannot believe the dirt and dust this vac picked up!! I have owned other brands such as Dirt Devil, Hoover, Kenmore, etc. This is lighter and much easier to use. I just vacuumed 6 rooms and a hallway and my back does not hurt! Well worth the money. Buy one, you won't be sorry!

I don't think I should have to read an owner's manual to learn how to remove the hose. Very annoying. Also it wouldn't clean the edges of my rooms and the suction was terrible. Why would I want to redo the room with the angle attachment also? I hate that the attachments fall out when you put them away. This vacuum wouldn't suck up pet hair. I'd say the only thing that made me happy was that I could reach the ceiling in my basement.

high rapair bills

I've used a Filter Queen for 20 years I think its a great machine but my new wife has trouble with all it's parts. I bought her a Dyson and it was much easier for her to use. The machine did a nice job at cleaning also. After about the 5th time I used it, I got a gear grinding sound from the brush as I went over a rug. I quickley turned the unit off and back on. The grinding stopped. The more I used this machine the more offten this happened until I had to take it in for repairs. The repair shop told me this was a common problem with the clutch in the Dysons. $140.00 later I brought it home, and the second time I used it the the clutch started to grind again. This is a poorly made machine that can not be fixed at home. Now that this clutch is shot, I'm taking this dyson to the curb because its garbage

best vacumm i have ever owned

i bought the dyson, even though i didn't think there was anything wrong with my kirby, because it was returned and marked down considerably. this is the best vacuum i have ever owned. we have owned labradors all our life and the dyson pulls so much hair out of our carpets that our dog should be bald. i vacuumed with the kirby and then revacuumed with the dyson and was totally amazed. if the kirby had worked as well, i would have had to change the bag every time i vacummed. easy to empty, the long hose goes from top to bottom of stairs without having to drag it to vacumm steps. this was well worth the price i paid for it and would have been worth full price. goes to show, you can't always believe what those consumer magazines say about something.
