Not as good as my old Sharp R-930AK microwave-conveciton oven. 1. Buzzes because metal cover on back wasn't designed with enough screws, and the vibration can be felt on the other side of the kitchen wall. This cover looks crudely made, stamped with wrinkles and dents. 2. Glass turntable and the support wheel ring underneath it have to be removed to use convection mode. Also the turntable is frosted, making it hard to align it with the spindle below. 3.The labels for the controls have dark grey writing against light grey backgrounds, making them even harder to read than the tan-on-black labels of my Sharp. 4. Using convection mode requires putting the food on the wire grill, which subtracts 2" from the oven's interior height. It's almost as if the manufacturer, LG, had taken one of their regular microwave ovens and tacked a convection heater to the back. This product would have been much better if just a bit more thought had been put into its design.
I purchased this microwave in the spring 2012. It worked great until it was about 6 months old and the control pad started randomly working. Mostly the #1 and #2 wouldn't work which I could deal with. Then the "add a minute" button stopped working. UGH! I had to send it in the be looked at but they could not duplicate the problem. After countless phone calls to customer service and 2 months without microwave, I was finally given a replacement. Now the new, 7 month old microwave, is doing the exact same thing. I will never by an other appliance from Sears again.

We also bought the 27" trim kit. The microwave and trim kit look great together. We looked at a lot of stores and found that most microwaves and trim kits didn't look very good or were very expensive. This microwave and trim kit looked better than anything else we saw. The price was also a lot better than the competition.
Years ago I had a Kenmore convection Microwave and it lasted over 15 years so when I needed to replace it, I naturally went to this brand again. I am not disappointed...tried it for my Easter dinner, Macaroni and cheese and ham both cooked excellent. Glad I decided to stick with this brand.

This microwave is large enough to take advantage of the convection cooking options but still tucks easily into a corner. The combination cooking is great! I feel like we got a terrific bargain.
This microwave is a ******** for the money, I was suprise to find this same model as a replacement for a 10 year old one that stop heating. P.S. This counter top microwave fit nicely in my custom built kitchen cabinets! Love it..
I just purchased my second Kenmore microwave/convection oven and it is going back to Sears just like the first one purchaed. The convection oven doesn't come up to temperature although the oven indicates it has reached preheat temp. At the same time the outside of the oven is so hot I could fry an egg on it. This is clearly a fire hazzard. I had the same issue with the first unit I purchased
My last Microwave/convention oven was a Kenmore that I bought 23 years ago. It still worked if you whacked it just right. The new oven has many bangs and whistles - like a popcorn button. I really could do without this. I can hear when the corn has stopped popping. The old oven showed the current oven temperature where the new one just shows the tmp that it is set to. I guess I am getting older and could tell you how much better the old one was (hehe). But there are a few features I really like - more even food temp. The automatic sensors are nice. I don't have to open the door and keep sticking my finger in the food to see if it is hot enough. I used it yesterday (convection) for my first real test - apple - cranberry galette. The crust was perfect. I hope I get another 23 years out of my new Kenmore oven.
Our previous 10-year old Kenmore Elite microwave bit the dust a week before our annual New Year's Eve party. We had a service company take a look at it (because my wife loved it), and it was a no-go. The part to fix it (motherboard) isn't made anymore. After a couple of days of extensive research, we decided on this model with both convection and microwave features. Initially, the main reason for this was size. Our previous microwave was installed with a trim kit that fit it to a "T", and apparently, they don't make microwaves as tall as they did in 2003. Every model we looked at was too wide and short to fit well in the space that we have for it. That is, until we started looking at the convection oven microwaves. This model in particular is almost the exact dimensions as our old model and has a handle to boot (we weren't too keen on the push button method of door opening). We've had it about three weeks, and both the microwave and convection have worked flawlessly!
works excellent but convection feature needs a lot of ventilation to be safe. I was not told this when I bought it. I have it in a cabinet so I will probably only use the microwave features which work excellent. To get the most out of this unit, place it on the counter with lots of ventilation.
Great microwave for the value. We have been using it for the past month and all family members are thoroughly pleased. Easy to clean and is more quiet than the previous one we had.
Love the Micro/Convection oven. The only down fall is there is no way to shut off the turntable when you use the convection oven.

This microwave is exactly what I was looking for in terms of size, appearance and functions. It is a major asset to my kitchen and a huge improvement over the previous microwave! I was also extremely pleased to have free delivery!
This is the only microwave for me! I bought one identical to it many years ago and its convenience with the automatic cycles are so handy. It also has a convection feature, but I never use it since I have a convention over with my regular oven. I have seen other microwave ovens in other people's homes and at our church, but this one's controls are so simple, and does things just the way you need from a simple touch of a button for cooking vegetables either fresh or frozen to reheating to defrosting as well as just touching in a number of minutes you want it to cook at what temperature. It also has a clock and a kitchen timer. What more could you ask for in a microwave!
I purchased the microwave/convection oven for my married daughter because i have an identical one and enjoy the good service it provides. I've had it for two years with no service problems.

We have had this micro/convection oven for 2 weeks and so far both have worked as they should. Until today, I noticed that the turn table is starting to make a noise like the rotating motor/mechanism is grinding. I thought that maybe there might be too much weight on the turntable ???? I knew there wasn't but I ran it for a few seconds w/ nothing in it and it still made the noise. Looks like this micro is going to the repair center. Unfortunately this unit just replaced the Kenmore microwave we only had for 10 months before the turntable stopped rotating out of the blue on Halloween. It took 2 weeks to find out they couldn't fix it. Our previous Kenmore microwave was 6 yrs old and working fine until my husband accidentally reheated a cup of coffee for too long and coffee got down in the wiring and it fried out. Maybe we just got another lemon? Hope it can be repaired,if not they replace it.Thankfully we bought the 5 yr. maintenance agreement. Anymore problems-we are done w/ Kenmore
