I bought this electric range hood from Sears. I was quite disappointed with their customer service. After I bought it I found out I needed to buy a filter for non-ducted installation. No one at Sears told me I needed to buy a filter. I went back to Sears the next day and a salesman pointed out to me the filters I needed. It turned out the filters were the wrong ones and didn't even fit my Kenmore hood. I went back a third time only to find out Sears does not carry the filter I needed and was told to call a 1-800 #. After calling Sears, the filters cost me a total of&******** plus two 50 watt Halogen lights which were not included. They were priced at Sears for $19.99 each. I ended buying them at ******* for $7.50 each. So don't be fooled, you'll need to add $75 to the $155 sales price. Oh, and by the way, did I mention $120 you need to get it installed. What a huge ripoff!!!!!

I recently purchased another range hood 2nd one for my mother in law because this product is beautiful and works perfect. The price is right and I recommend this product because it works very well. I will be purchasing another one soon for a rental home as well.

One of the best range hood vents purchased over the years. Sleek design and extremely quiet during operation. I also like the night light option; low light yet bright enough to illuminate the nearby area. Great choice after returning the lower grades option. Extremely satisfied with this purchase.
I shopped several websites looking for a range hood that I liked. When I saw this one online I went into my local Sears stores to see it in person. It was just what I wanted so I purchased it for my kitchen. I love it!

After having a microwave with exhaust fan this is a nice change as it is quieter that the micro with fan and much stronger. The stainless is easy to clean and the filters are much larger than the ones on the microwave ovens with the fan.

Bought to replace the aging and much greasy old one as we also bought our first double oven and this model was all that we need at a fair cost at our Sears store. Well liked and well built.
It was easy to install. We just had to do a few tweaks; but, it works great. The light is just the right amount of brightness and the fan takes care of smoke and most odors.
In about 18 months, this product started eating through light bulbs and now neither of the lights will work even with a brand new expensive bulb. I think the wiring is defective, but it is conveniently out of warranty. I will not have it replaced, but look for a better quality product. I have owned many many Kenmore products for the last 28 years of marriage and used to love them. Their quality has dramatically declined over the last 10 years or so. If you buy this product, add the extended warranty and don't let it expire :(
Halogen bulbs designed for the unit are bright but expensive at $20 each. Fan has good airflow. Installation was very difficult because the outflow duct needs to fit inside existing house duct. Lining it up simultaneous with lining up the wiring made it a real struggle.
It's a stainless steel kenmore range hood. Motor noise is not to loud even in high speed mode. The filters are easy to service. The assembly and installatiion was straight forward and easy to understand. I installed it. I would buy this model again.
I like this item and its performance and appearence. Package was missing parts and we were not informed we would have to purchase additional filters at the time of npurchase.
since this unit requires special light bulbs they should be included. We were not informed at the time of purchase that they were not included; therefore it was necessary for us to make a special trip just to purchase the bulbs.
I went with this model because I hoped the "upswoop" design of the front would give me better visibility over the standard "hat brim" style - and it did. I like not having to stoop to see into pots and pans on the back burners. Fan works great. It is extremely quiet on the low setting and moves a lot of air on high. We connected the 7" circular vent that adapts down to a 6" duct. That moves so much more air than our old hood with the 3x10 rectangular vent. One small complaint is that the low light setting isn't as low as we'd like. Our old range hood had infinite light level settings, so we used it very low as a night light. Both settings are practical for cooking though, so that doesn't affect the rating. The reason it lost a star is that there is a gap in the metal on both sides that is very obvious and very irritating. I don't know if it was like that before I disassembled and reassembled it to convert it to a ducted hood, but it's there now. I am going to caulk it just so it's not a black line that draws my eye every time I walk by it.
