I've had the washer for three weeks and can't figure out how to get the clothes covered in water. The only way I've been able to is to cancel the load and restart the load. I assume it see the load as being extremely heavy (clothes are wet now) and files with more water. You can't convince me that when the clothes are not wet that they are being washed.

We have been transitioning all of our appliances to Samsung as we have been replacing them over the past couple of years. This washer like the rest of the Samsung appliances have not disappointed us yet. The only con with this machine is my wife is 5?3? and she has a little difficult time reaching the bottom of the tub.
I've had mine for two months. Each cycle takes at least 80 minutes (except the "Quick Wash"). I usually use an extra rinse, so it's been up to 2 hours for one load. So, even though it does 2 loads, it takes all day to do laundry. As in all HE washers, it uses very little water. I often use the "bedding" setting so it uses "enough" (in my opinion) water. But, HE is set by the US and all washers will have that problem. (I probably should have considered the front loader more seriously. My next trial will be to wet all the laundry before putting it in so it weighs more, but I don't have a wash bin to do that in.) Finally, I am 5'5" and have to stand on tip-toes to reach the bottom items. I really wish we didn't throw out my 15 year old washer! :(

I have had this washer for less than a year and it has broken twice. The last washer I owned I had for 10 years and never had to have it repaired. This washer is cheaply made. It has broken down twice on us. The pump broke the first time, and electrical the second time. Samsung Repairs takes a long time for repairs so be prepared to go to the laundromat. Overall, extremely poorly made product. Do not make the same mistake I made and buy this product. It is not worth the extra money you pay as it will most likely break.

I gave a Front load Samsung washer ( that did a good job) to my daughter as she needed a large washer and was to replace with a smaller one . This machine was on sale for a very good price so I bought it. Holds very large loads and gets everything clean . Looks great in the laundry room and does the job right.
The pump chassis that holds the pump hose to the motor fell apart on this unit and flooded our laundry room three days after the one year warranty expired. We had the park, which was completely destroyed as if it had been used for 12 years instead of 12 months, replaced. In the last three months is has broken 3 additional times. The wire nut that attaches the wiring to the water pump has been replaced but it keeps slipping - when this happens the tub cannot drain and the spring that holds it up collapses making it nearly impossible to work on - since it is full of water and wet clothes and sitting down nearly on top of all the hardware. It's just been a big disappointment.

I just finished washing a blanket for the fourth time to get it clean. I've had this machine for a little over a year and have never had so much trouble getting clothes clean. Clothes come out of the washer with lint and fuzz on then. Dirt remains in folds of the clothes. Wish I had an old non-HE machine. I'm very unhappy with this machine.

This is my wife and I's first set of new high efficiency units. I bought Samsung because I've always had luck with their electronics and my faith was not misplaced. The washer does an excellent job of handling our 1 year old's baby food explosions on his clothes and keeps our clothes very clean.

Had for one year and one month. Worked well until the plastic motor housing for the pump snapped and the washer leaked all over basement. Took the back off and the pump was on the floor and the tub leaked all out. It all comes down to the pump housing that lead to it snapping. Why would piece that important be kept together with plastic? Will never buy another Samsung product.
Clothes come out clean every time ! Cant beat the price on this unit right now, it has all the bells and whistles you could possibly need, and it not too complicated to use, good for elderly. Nice and quiet! and the 10 year motor warranty is nice peace of mind...The only thing I don't like is that its made in China..
Well my 31 year old washer died finally so I could finally get a nice modern one and I picked this. I love it. It uses less water, clean the clothes well, I can put more in there plus was bedding. I will never buy an old style agitator in the middle again. Just remember to keep the lid open after use to full dry it out. Keep the middle open when you load the stuff other wise you get a chime plus error message. The middle thing is a sensor and needs to be free to work properly.
I bought this washer as a floor model and was not quit sure what I was getting myself into. I knew that Samsung was good a phones and tv but a washer? That being said this is one of the best washers that I have ever owned. I love that it has the stainless steel drum and that it is King capacity. I would highly recommend this washer.
This washer has been standing up to tests with stains from work, very dirty clothes, and dog hair. All of my clothes have come out clean. Its super super quiet. And I really like the chimes it makes instead of the annoying buzzer.
We love, love this washer! We've had it for 6 months. We've used every cycle except the pure cycle. FYI, wipe off any detergent that might get on it, because it will stain. We are going to get the pods to avoid further damage.
I agree with others that say to read the manual first. You have to "calibrate" the machine before use. Other than the goofy 'song' after a load is complete, we love this machine. Clothes are clean and don't smell like mildew like our old front-loader did.
I recently moved into my first apartment and went shopping for a "regular" washing machine. The high efficiency ones, in my opinion, have too much that can (and probably will knowing today's quality standards) go wrong. This set was on sale and only $40 more than the "regular" washer and dryer that I was going to buy, so I got it instead as it is much nicer. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I can only find one thing to complain about - the detergent/fabric softener tray doesn't pull out far enough which created an awkward angle with the machine lid, and it's hard to put in the detergent until you figure out the appropriate angle. It washes excellently, and it spins so fast and for so long the clothes come out just barely damp. Many negative reviews cited two common problems (clothes coming out wrinkled and not clean in the case of folded clothes - my machine actually turns some of my shirts inside out), neither of which I've experienced. I'd venture to say those people didn't read the instructions. HE washers are VERY different from "regular" ones, and require different loading - if you get this washer and it's your first HE one, READ all of the directions prior to use. Overall, I would suggest this washer (and matching dryer - which will have any load (except bedding or towels) done before the next one comes out of the washer) as did the saleslady. I'd shop around, though. It was on sale, and cheaper at another store.
Unit worked fine for first six months...then water everywhere! The cheap plastic drain pump housing broke, causing the drain hose to dislodge from the tub. Water leaked all over laundry room floor and kitchen floor. Engineering change needed to improve quality of this design. Samsung is going to have a ton of complaints and repair costs in the near future as more customers experience this issue. DO NOT BUY until this issue has been resolved.
I decided to give the HE waher try, after using the agitator model for my whole life. I was worried that it wouldn't clean my clothes and that it would be hard to use. I followed the instructions and it works just fine. We don't get our clothes very dirty. There's only 2 adults in the house so we only have a few loads a week. Overall the washer seems to clean as good or better than the old one. I am adjusting to the differences that it has. So far so good.
After several hours of reading washing machine reviews, I bought this washer and the dryer. I could not be happier! My clothes have never smelled so good! It does not have an agitator, so the sales lady told me to act as if it had one and place the clothes accordingly. I did, and perfection! It also holds a lot of clothes. It tells you how much time is needed to wash the clothes and you can open the washer while the clothes are being washed. It is a wonderful washing machine and I am happy I bought it!
I work at a store that sells these machines as well as other major brands. I had originally planned to buy another major brand because of how it looked but when I talked to some co-workers who had bought the Samsung washer, they had nothing but the highest praise for this product! I got a really good deal on it because of some sales that were going on at the time and I am absolutely 100% thrilled with it! The 4.0 capacity is huge and the machine is quiet. Sometimes I have to have my tall husband reach down in the tub to get the clothes out because it is a bit taller/deeper than my old machine. I could not be happier! I will buy the matching dryer as soon as another sale hits our store, AND I recommend this product to everyone who asks my opinion on our washers and dryers.
We've owned this machine for almost a year. I'm still amazed by how quiet it is. It will clean beautifully as long as you don't overload it. Machine cleaning feature works well. It rarely gets unbalanced. Clothes wrinkle too much on high spin, but medium spin works great. My husband is prone to manhandling and I was worried the soap dispenser would not hold up, but it is doing just fine. The tub is very deep, so you may need help retrieving small items.

I bought this unit when it was on sale for an unbeatable price. There are only two people in the household and we tend to do medium sized loads of laundry. I have never experienced such a quiet washer and faster dryer. I have had it for a couple months and am aware that others are not happy with their experience, but I am beyond satisfied with mine.
