We have 2 of these now. One is upstairs & helps keep visitors warm. The other is in a room that doesn't get alot of heat. Love them. Sure cuts down on the propane we use.
Received the heater and it had dust on the bottom ledge. Then I noticed the plastic tab that separated the battery from the contacts in the remove was all scratched up. Became clear this was a floor model or a return. The fan is very noisy and uneven when starting up. Called immediately to have it replaced and was told I would need to return this heavy item to the nearest store, many miles away. Very unethical and unfair. I'll stick to ****** for all my online purchases in future. Very disappointed as the name Sears, Kenmore, Craftsman, used to mean quality.
Very attractive heater that has three heat settings and two fan speeds. Remote is small and easy to misplace but works good Helps heat room with central heat on lower setting.

This heater was purchased for a family member who lives in an apartment that has heating issues. It is compact and is easily moved from room to room. She felt instant relief and is now warmer. A nice addition to any home or apartment and a great way to add more heat.
Item was very accurately described & as pictured. Actually it was even nicer than I expected. Very sturdy cabinet, well constructed. nice looking piece, could fit in any home. quiet running heats up fast.. shuts off when set temp is reached. remote is added bonus. casters allow easy moving from space to space. going to use it to heat husbands workshop. great value.. can't beat the price or quality!

Brought this heater to put in kitchen so the main furnace doesn't have to come on as often. It works and warm up the good size kitchen pretty fast. It's quiet too. One thin I wish it has is the memory feature to remember the last temperature/fan setting I used after I turned it off & back on. That's why I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5; overall, it's a great heater for the money.
My husband decided to purchase this unit for our home, and about a week after it showed up an arctic front hit. Our main room, where we are keeping the unit, is just under 400sq ft, and has been nice and toasty since we turned it on. We've had the unit running consistently and no issues with overheating, or the surfaces on or around the unit becoming too hot to touch. It's fairly small so it has been easy for us to find places to store it in our limited space. Overall we are absolutely delighted with this unit. We haven't had it for very long, so if needed, I'll come back and update this review at a later time.
Though it's too soon to comment on how it does in extremely cold weather, my initial review is that it will definitely serve well for the intended purpose. We purchased this for a former coal cellar in our basement that we've converted into canned good storage. This should do the trick to keep things from freezing when the temperature plummets.
This is a great room heater. You can set the temperature you like and it will come on and off by itself when the temperature drops. It also come with a small remote control that allows you to control the heater once you have it in your room .So thiers no having to get anymore. It Aslo have a safety device in just in case the heater is knocked over it will automatically shut off.I highly recommend the heater. Its great!

My room heater went out as it was a wall unit but this thing does the job with the sunroom. The cat now sleeps in there again as without this it would be really cold. And since it's infrared you can keep it on when you're gone.

I purchased this in the fall, expecting it to last a while. It was used with caution and care through the first two or three months it was in use. I set the temperature delay and let it sit for use as a backup heater and made sure that all of the directions for safety and longevity were followed. It died uneventfully and without reason or warning while failing to perform it's light duty task. Perhaps it was a lone lemon among all of the good ones. I also paid for the extended warrenty and I do not know why I was allowed to do that since the item was going to be discontinued, but so it was to be. I took my sad, pathetic Kenmore IR heater back the the Traverse City Mi. Sears Store where I learned this is discontinued and there are no more in stock. The best they could do is have me pay the difference on a model that looks the same but costs significantly more and pay the difference ($100+) or take a refund, but my warrenty that was not going to be any good regardless was not refundable, so I still only received a portion of my money returned. Sometimes You get a good deal- Sometimes you get hosed. I suppose I will stick with Craftsman Tools and forgo the rest of the offerings.

I live in a 1920 something house where the attic was converted into two bedrooms and storage (I would say 700sqft area). It was not insulated properly, maybe not at all. We went from freezing to being toasty some nights too hot for blankets and keeping it at 68 all the time, I especially like the energy saving option on it and would buy another one in a heartbeat!
We use this to supplement the central heating system in our great room which is 30 by 17 and drafty. This works wonderfully. It heats up quickly and cools down quickly. We have left it on by accident when leaving the house with no problem. It is cool to touch as well and looks quite nice with our leather furniture. Would recommend!

During the cold months this winter, our heating system refused to cooperate and we were really cold, this heating unit took care of us during the minus degrees wind chill. Would recommend!
