mixed feelings

Since I couldn't afford a vacation for my daughter and I this year, I opted to purchase this pool to create our own vacation spot in the back yard.  Leveling the ground was tough since this is Arizona and my back yard was full of rocks.  I got it level and had to pay someone to help me get the box out of my car and set it up.  I talked to three different pool store people in the area who said that the tarp that it comes with is plenty to keep the tiny rocks (which is what my solid ground consists of) from puncturing through the bottom.  They couldn't have been more wrong.  After about three weeks, we had our first small leak, then another, and another until finally, the big one that caused us to finally drain the pool to see if we can fix from the outside.  The repair kit that it comes with is a joke since you get the patches but no adhesive to adhere them.  I bought silicone based sealant/glue and it was about as effective as chewing gum.  Eventually, the patch would float off and the leak would come back.  Also, we had a dust storm and between the powerless filter and the useless vacuum tool, we could never get all the dust out of the pool and subsequently called it our pond.  Although I enjoyed it immensely, people should know what they're getting into.  The ladder sucks, too.  It took me a few times to get the hang of how shaky and small it is.  I'm torn between giving up and trying to repair the liner from the outside- we're only about 1/2 way through our swimming season.  $400 didn't even last me 1/2 the summer.  I'm bummed.  :(

intex 15x48in pool

After assembly pool and filling it up.We discovered the water was getting low.We had a seam that was not sewed together right.Called intex they told Us what to do,but I told them I was not going to waste all the money it cost to fill pool.To take the liner down, and cut it into pieces for them, and be about a month without a pool.So We repaired the hole and intex informed Us we got 90 days to return. So We will be senting the liner back after the season, just to be on the safe side. The pool is a great pool for Ur money. There is 6 of Us,and we have plenty of room.Would recomend product, plus intex stands behind their product.

15 x 48" metal frame pool

For its size and price - great value. We have 3 boys ages10-7 and they were in it all summer long. Large enough for adults to enjoy as well. Easy to clean and low cost to maintain. Very sturdy and easy to assemble.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Intex 15Ftx48In Metal Pool is very affordable

We have used the Intex 15ft X 48in metal pool for the past 3 years. I was easy to setup and didn't take long to fill with water. We also bought the saltwater system and converted this pool to saltwater. My family and I use all summer long. I would reccomend this pool for an inexpensive, but fun way to cool of.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Intex Metal Frame Pool is very sturdy.

This pool is AWESOME! It was easy to set up and only took half of a day to be filled with water. The metal frame makes the pool very sturdy which is important for people who to need to hang on to the sides of the pool for support and safety. The pool is very roomy. My 11 year old can swim in it, not just move around in the pool. Due to the size of the pool, two or more people are needed to cover the pool. Also it is very important to make sure you have level ground.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Intex 15' X 48" Metal Frame Pool

We live in Southeast TX, where the heat index goes to 90 in May and does not come down until Oct.  My son has been working on our shed in 80/90 degree heat.  I knew it would be nice for him to be able to take a dip in the pool, without having to go to our over-chlorinated, public facility.  We pulled out our old Intex pool, with the inflatable ring.  It definitely needed replacing.  I opted for this metal frame.  It costs more, but is well worth the difference.  There is so much more swimming area and it went up much easier.  You still have to be careful about a clean, flat surface and getting all the bottom wrinkles out, as with any pool.  It took about 12 hrs to fill with a single hose.

I also purchased the saltwater pump.  What an improvement!  The salt is cheaper and better than chlorine tablets.  With the heat index over 100 degrees, we are in the pool several times a day.  Great purchase.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Intex Pool is Perfect!!

We purchased our pool last weekend and love it!  The assembly was fairly simple and as long as you follow the instructions, it should be up in a few short hours.  It's the perfect size for two people and fits perfectly in our backyard.

I highly recommend you level your ground, as instructed, and you will have no complaints.
