I purchased this TV a few months ago. It was the floor model from Best Buy so I got a great deal on it. The first thing I noticed was its exceptional picture quality, compared to other models at that price range. I had to turn off the "Auto Motion Plus" and "LED Motion Plus" features to remove that unnatural, "soap opera" effect. But other than that, picture quality is really nice! The 3D on this TV looks great...plays my 3D BluRays and even downloaded 3D movies. The sound on this TV is excellent considering its super slim profile. A lot of flat screen TVs fail miserably when it comes to sound. Samsung managed to keep the sound quality (esp. bass response) much better than their competitors. I am quite pleased with the sound on this machine. SmartHub has tons of useful features, like Pandora, Amazon, Netflix, etc. Occaisonally, SmartHub will have to update, which can cause freezing or slow performance. However, this is rare and 99% of the time these features work flawlessly. If you mount the TV on the wall, you might run into some trouble with accessing the ports in the back. Most of the ports are located in the back, though there are a couple of ports on the right side of the TV. Mine is mounted and so I've had to purchase HDMI cables that are at right angles so as to be able to access the ports without damaging my cables. Lastly, this TV integrates very well with my home entertainment center. If you own other Samsung products, then integration is seamless and you can run your whole system with one remote! I love this TV.

Although I haven't figured how to use the Wi-Fi, I doubt whether I will ever need it. The colors are accurate, filled with light. I especially like how easy it is to use as a second monitor. Sound is OK, but I use my own speakers anyway. Great value.
Browsed many t.v.s and decided on this one. Could have gotten a similar tv for less but im a bug fan of samsung. Love the tv so far but am a bit disappointed that this tv is not included in the new upgrade thing that is being sold to 7000 and 8000 models. But other then that its a great tv and im really happy with it.
The TV is a sweet asset. The limitation is that it does not come with a power adapter; this limits the owner to use the product in the US only & any other country that uses 110 - 120 volts. If you are going to use this TV outside the US, you definitely need a step down transformer.
After owning this TV for a couple of months now, I have been able to adjust and calibrate the TV properly. Some people don't understand that you MUST have the TV for at least a month or so before you can start seeing a difference and tweaking the settings. Some people complain about the black and shades, well more than likely you have the setting turned on for it to adjust to the lighting. This by the way is a neat feature to have as everyone lighting is different and changes by area and weather of course. Knowing how to change the cinema and motion settings is critical to having a great picture. If you are watching sports, movies, or video games you almost always want different settings for each, so knowing what to change would be very helpful and would lead to a better viewing experience. As far as the 3D goes, this is my first TV with this feature. I currently have DirecTV and they do include 3-4 channels that are 3D and I have to say it is quite enjoyable to watch for instance like Discovery channel; very vivid and true to color. Now I also tried video games in 3D, and let me tell you it still has a way to go. You will become noxious with so much movement going on. Just an FYI this TV does have the feature to turn any video program into 3D. Going into movies, Blu Rays look absolutely awesome. Great picture quality, but I turn the cinema settings off. The smart features are also very nice to have. Having applications to use just like a Smartphone is nice. I have used: Crackle, Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube. There are more apps coming as well. All have worked flawlessly. Some of the people, who are complaining, probably are not updating the TV frequently.*Make sure you at least once a month go under settings and hit update* you will be amazed how many people don?t do this. Very crucial to having your TV continue to work great and constantly fixing bugs that all TV manufactures have. I would say I wished they threw in a free wireless keyboard because one of the knacks to this TV is typing on the remote plainly stinks. All in all this TV is more than bang for your buck. All the features and even the 2 pairs of 3D glasses make it a bargain. The only other issue I can find besides typing with the remote was turning on the sleep setting. The fact that there is not a button dedicated to it so you can just turn it on or off, but you have to go into the settings to turn it on or off every time. I purchased mine open box for $719 at my local ********. Same 1 year warranty and another 1 year free warranty because I paid with a credit card that has a MasterCard logo. Most people don?t know or aren?t aware that Visa and MasterCard offer you a free warranty on any product you buy with any debit or credit card that has their logo. Just hold on to your original receipt and they will match whatever the manufactures warranty is. Ex. Samsung gives 1 year so Visa or MasterCard will give you an additional year for free. Also register you TV on Samsung?s website, they give you and additional 2-3 months after that 1 year, also free of charge just for registering. Do not buy into this warranty plans sold by these companies. You are entitled to free warranty through the manufactures and Visa or MasterCard. I believe American Express also does it, not sure what they?re details are. One last note, if you belong to Best Buys silver club reward you get TV calibration for free. If you are not that lucky, browse online and you can find some good advice. Professional calibrations is recommended but not everyone can afford that luxury like myself so I just Google and find forums where pros give tutorials. Good luck and enjoy your new TV.
I just bought this TV yesterday and watched 2 3D movies. I am really impressed with this unit. It was a discontinued item and was able to purchase the store demo unit. Since this was the case I spent an extra day evaluating this monitor with others to be sure I was getting great value for the price. Only one complaint about the Allshare option. It states that it will only work with Samsung products but my Samsung Android Charge smart phone downloaded the app and when opening the app it stated that my device was not compatible. There were a lot of complaints from other Samsung smart phones that have just released so it is a big issue that Samsung needs to correct. My Panasonic Blu-Ray player's app connects great with my smart phone. Samsung should allow all Smart phones the ability to connect.
I purchased this TV after some research and I found Samsung to have the best picture quality. I've had it for a week now and absolutly love it. Was thrilled to find the Alllshare and Smart view app worked great with my Galaxy S3. The remote doesn't work well for internet, but the smart view app more than makes up for it. I have also been impressed with the 3D, did not buy it for that but will now be getting more into it!
I am so happy with my Samsung LED 3D ready TV! The sound is great, the picture is spectacular, and the features are fantastic. I can't wait until I learn how to use every single feature this product has to offer. I compared this product with many of Samsung models, and I think it is what I was looking for as far as price and content.
Overwhelmed with the ease of use of the applications and clarity of the TV. Love the quality and finish and by far is the best TV to date that I have ever owned. 3D feature if very nice and we plan to use it alot more in the future. Only one small request would be to supply a keyboard thats wireless to help in filling out the text on certain applications but easy enough to go out and get a wireless aftermarket one. Thanks for the great product. You can't go wrong with this TV!

(Samsung won't let me report this as a bug): I don't recommend the Samsung Smart TV model #UN46ES6500FXZA. Netflix doesn't work on it. The app will launch, but only 1 in 20 times will it play a video. The rest of the time it errors out "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please select a different title." I try a different one. Same problem. No title works without having to try and select it 20+ times. It's not just the one I've selected. This problem is also only happening on this model (we have 4 of them, but only one is this model). Somewhere the software for this one isn't working right. I've tried reinstalling the app. No change. I've turned it off and on. No change. I've tried logging out and logging back in. No change. The app is completely broken on this model. Update 1/10/12: w/latest SW update, model has been reduced to a glorified monitor. I can still access network drives, but smart functionality totally dead. Resetting to factory settings no help.
