These aren't the most amazing speakers you will ever hear, far from it if you spend a lot of money on audio equipment. But for the price? I don't think I've heard better better speakers at this price range. They sound really, really good once you consider that you spent barely over $100 for them, which usually gets some sub-THX tin cans. I highly recommend the common crossover mod for these. Google "crossover mod" and the model of these speakers. For only $30 they can sound even better, making it only $140 for a quite impressive set of speakers. One comment I have to make, I find that these speakers are effected more by the acoustics of a room then other speakers I've used. Experiment with their positioning. I find having them next to you, on the side of a couch or your chair, pointing at a blank wall sounds really good in some conditions. This would be a very inexpensive way to add quality channels to your sound system if your upgrading your amp or have space for more channels on your current amp.
First off, I love music. And it's got to sound great. But I can't afford to buy the "high end" labelled equipment. These seemed impressive, so I gave them a try. One word: Awesome! I first tried these out attached to a Peavey CS-800 amp. Listening to MP3 music, these had a great frequency range for their size and make a great studio monitor. They were a bit large in size for what they were purchased for, so I swapped out my Cerwin Vegas that were part of my home theater system. Combined with the CV subwoofer, the BIC America speakers set up a sonic arena of great sound, especially for the price.
