Good basic -- VERY basic -- sound bar

I own a 50" Panasonic Plasma TV, so when I learned Panasonic was releasing its first sound bar, I jumped on it.

For a sub-$200 sound bar, the quality is pretty good. I run the cable box through there, and then connect the SB to my television.

The one con is the # of inputs/outputs it has, but for the price, it's to be expected, I suppose.

Either way, it's a step up in sound quality for someone either on a budget or living in an apartment.

Good when working -died after 2 years
THe model SC_BTB10 did not work well on the HDMI cable although it would turn itself on and off with the TV but in High Definition mode, the sound was out of sync with the video. So I went with another connection. Once it was working it lasted for 2 years then died. A red light flashes three times when its first turned on - then it turns itself off.

Panasonic sound bar quality sound enhancement

If your going to buy a soundbar its not one of the things you wana go cheap on or generic and ive always known Panasonic to have good quality electronics and electronic accessories I work in the store so I hear these things all day so I know how well they work, I made the mistake of purchasing a generic of the same product trying to save a few nickels and it wasnt a good experience........ DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!!!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Sound, Perfect for Flat Screen TV's

Great sound bar, it works perfect with my UN46D6000 Samsung TV. The set up was really easy and connecting the sound bar to the TV with the OPtical Digital cable was a snap. I like the subwoofers built into the sound bar, it sound like you are in the middle of the action. and the remote works great also.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Sound Bar - Nice sound, no volume

Sound was nice & crisp. However if you are looking for floor shaking, room enveloping sound, the go with a 5.1 system...

Great Sound Performance in an Affordable Little Bar

My wife and I recently bought a 32" LCD Samsung Television. The TV is great but like most opening price point, flat screen televisions, the sound quality left something to be desired. We looked at more expensive options but for the price, this sound bar seemed to have everything we were looking for. Once we got it home, it was very easy to set up out of the box. You do need to purchase an HDMI cable to run back to your DVD or Blu-Ray player as well as a digital optical cable if you want the signal coming back from your TV to hear stuff on your cable box. Once everything was hooked up, we popped a movie up on Netflix and went to town. The sound quality is amazing for such a small item. You can really hear the differences when you turn the various options on and off. Clear voice to listen to voices a little louder than the rest of the sound track really helps when listening at a low volume. THX surround sound also makes the room just pop with audio. It's simple leaps and bounds better than the stock TV speaker. It has an excellent quality sub woofer as well; really makes those car chases and explosions seem so real. It's also great for listening to streaming music through the Blu-Ray player. Full audio dynamic sound across a broad aural spectrum. All in all, I would highly recommend this to any person looking to expand the capabilities of their flat screen TV.

Panasonic Slim Sound Bar

I wanted something to provide better sound quality for watching sports/football and music concerts because the tv speakers are a little disappointing on my panasonic tv (not even 1 yr old).  It sounds like sound bars are gaining popularity quickly.  So I thought I would try this one.

The sound is pretty good. Much better than the tv speakers. Don't be mislead thinking this is equivalent to a stereo system - it's not.  But if you only intend to use it as I have described above - it is a pretty good option.  I have a basement system that I intend to use for big events with stereo / surround.  For the living room this is the perfect medium.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Theatre Sound at a Sound Price

The first thing that drew my attention to this piece of equipment was its nice slim size, and secondly, the great price. I had been looking for a sound bar for nearly two years, but they had all seem way too expensive, and I had decided to wait a little, until the price came down a bit.

I noticed this, purely by accident, as I was visiting the local SEARS store for something else, (a Blu-Ray Drive, power cable, which was unavailable), and was just about to go when I saw the reduced price on this item - this was looking good now! The representative was very knowledgeable, and gave me some good ideas into how I could integrate this into my existing TV/Blu-Ray/Cable set up - there are a couple of choices: by the fibre optic connection, (sometimes referred to as a TOSLINK), or through the more common HDMI - either one works. The one on the store's display was connected through the TOSLINK.

When I returned home I was very excited to get this unpacked and connected: the instructions are very comprehensive, and written in non-technospeak gobbledy gook, and gave the two options, as previously described into connecting it all up. I decided to connect the sound bar to my Blu-Ray player and TV via HDMI cable - it works great, with realistic sound quality I've never experienced before. The unit is not too high, and does not interfere with my TV's remote control, as it sits just below the bottom of the TV, on the glass shelf unit, on which all the units are housed. The unit also comes with its own small remote control.

A really great unit, excellent sound, not too long to connect up and very convenient.
