Wolverine Boots...A Durable and Comfortable Classic

More than two years ago I walked into my local Sears store to buy a pair of work boots. Sears is where I go to find a good selection that satisfies the needs of a construction worker. There neatly displayed on shelves and racks you will find a decent array of footwear to satisfy most any taste.

The Wolverine Men's 8" Waterproof Boot stood out among the crowd of other brands and styles, although there were a small selection of Harley-Davidson branded boots resting right beside and are also made by Wolverine.

I quickly found a store associate who was able to locate the Wolverine 8" in the stockroom, and she brought my selection to me with what appeared to be a sense of pride in her step. I enjoy watching someone who takes pride in their work!

When I tried on the Wolverine 8" it was "Love At First Sight"...my tired foot said thank you for the thoughtful selection I had made. My foot was nestled safely in fresh new leather but yet it felt comfortable as a well worn pair of jeans. The Wolverine 8" boot felt as it were custom fit to my specifications.

I completed my purchase of my new Wolverine 8" work boots and headed for my work truck with my own sense of pride and satisfaction in finding a boot that fits so well. Work the next day included my new Wolverine purchase. When I can forget that I am wearing a new pair of leather boots as I'm climbing ladders, lifting loads and boring holes, I know I made the right decision with Wolverine!

My Wolverines reveal the hard miles, with scuffs and scars from construction battles endured over the past couple years. And when I'm not wearing my Wolverine work boot, I'm most likely wearing another Sears boot. It's another Wolverine, branded under the name Harley-Davidson.

There alright boots, flexable, very comfortable, (BEWARE SUEDE)

The boots are decent, i do anything from concrete work to carpentry to today lying under a dumptruck trying to un-seize the brake drum, i found the boots very flexable, and comfortable compared to my last pair of boots they were caterpillars, extremely uncomfortable and hot in the sun (black), but the wolverines arent nearly as tough the suede is a nightmare i thought i could put something on them to waterproof them and darken them, this was not very possable at least the caterpillars were tough. The TREAD IS GREAT ON THESE WOLVERINES, held up very well, so Suede boots, Comfortable,Flexable, but not really tough, stay away from paint, oil, water when washing your truck, every liquid of anykind, for practicality i'd find some tough boots that are fairly comfortable and keep on gettin' up, but dont ever get caterpillars, they will hurt your feet excruciatingly!

Great Product

This Wolverine styled work boot is the only style and brand that my husband will wear. He wears it all day long and does not complain about tired feet. Sears seems to be the only department store that he can find it in. The boot is very well made as a pair of these work boots can last him a long time, even though he is on his feet and wearing them all day - every day.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best boot Ever

This is my 6th pair. I wear them at work 40 to 60 hrs a week on construction sites. These Wolverines always kept my feet warm and dry. Break in is not needed . You will wear out the soles before you wear out the leather and its waterproofing. I usually replace them once a year. These boots are a Must Buy

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wolverine Men's Work Boots Leather Waterproof Insulated 8"

I bought a pair of these work boots 2 or 3 years ago and never wore them until about 2 weeks ago. the complete heel of the shoe came apart and I took it to a company that has been in business for many, many years that sells and repairs shoes. He tried glueing the heel back on (no guarrentee that it would stay on)

The heel came back off in a hour or two, The shoe store said that Wolverine used. to make good shoes but now sell Chineese junk. I have bought this same Wolverine shoe for many years and had good luck with them. They always lasted for about a year as I was hard on them and was satisfied with the performance I received from them. I now realise that the other Wolverines were American made and this pair is Chineese junk and had I known that they were made in China I would not have bought them. $90.00 + tax down the drain. I would not recomend these shoes to anyone.

Very satisfied with my Wolverine boots

These boots are great.

Water just beads up on them and falls off. The insolation isn't very thick, which makes them fit better (for me at least) at the expense of usefulness in extremely cold weather. They provide good support and protection (for a non steel-toe). Much like my combat boots, they are very fast and easy to put on and take off, which was a must for me. The slip-resistance is pretty good too; these make my combat boots seem like ice skates by comparison!

I can't rate their longevity since I don't wear them every day, but they seem great to me so I'd highly recommend them. Well worth the ~90 bucks.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

wolverine mens workboots leather waterproof insulated awesome

my experience in wolverene boots was awesome i waterproofed them; the next day was a nasty blizzard with two feet of snow; with snow drifts over my waist line; so i would say they were submerged in snow continuously for twelve hours or more; what a great pair of boots. never were my feet cold or wet.when i was looking at the boots i could tell they were very well constructed they were insulated;waterproof;double stitching;and leather;i bought them on sale for eighty-five dollars;they were one-hundred and ten dollars but really you cant put a price on staying warm and dry in a freezing blizzard can you!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wolverine waterproof work boots, been wearing them for 25+ years

I have been working all my life (53yo) and luckily found these great boots early in my career. Always have worked outside and had tried all kinds of boots but when I put on these Wolverines I was immediately impressed with their great fit and light weight. They were soft and flexible requiring little break-in. I was very impressed with the water proofing as well. When I first started wearing these boots I was working as a truck crane operator working on many various job sites. Here in Washington it rains a lot and job sites are very muddy and wet. To my surprise, the water ran right off these boots. I follow manufacturers recommendations and treat my boots with a silicon type water proofing spray before ever wearing them out side. Over the years I have never had a boot leak before they were worn out. The only negative thing I can say is they seldom last me over a year but then I am a big guy (300lbs) and put a lot of pressure on these boots day in and day out. They keep my feet warm with light cotton socks, no need for heave wool type work socks. Some times on a very hot day my feet get a little hot but thats to be expected. Great boots!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wolverine Men's Waterproof Boot ....comfortable & warm

These boots are awesome, took a little breaking in, but within a few days I was wearing them everywhere. I bought these on deployment, and they became the main boot that I wore when not in uniform. This is the first pair of Timberlands that I have owned, but they will not be the last. Very happy with this product, and will buy again when these wear out.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Wolverine Men's 8" is a great gift

We purchased a pair of Wolverine Men's boots as a birthday gift for our son who is in the U.S. Naval Academy. Actually we were in the store with him a week prior to his birthday and he gave these boots a very good rating. We are longtime Sears customers and have always found an excellent workmanship and quality of the products we have purchased.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Waste of money

I have never been compelled to write a review for a product before but feel the public needs to be made aware of items like this. I have had these boots for 2 weeks and feel I am qualified to give an accurate review.

The first day I wore them started out in the low 40's. On the jobsite I was extreemly aware of just how cold my feet were, more then the day before with my non-insulated boots. After the sun comes up the temps get into the 60/70 degree range. Now my feet are burning!

Today I got some water on them and my socks were quickly soaked! I have since sprayed them with "Campdry" which I do with all my boots but to no avail. These boots are NOT waterproof and do NOT keep your feet warm. For $30 I would have thought "eh, you get what you pay for". But for $90 you should get what it claims!  This is the very last item I will ever buy from Sears. For $50 I can get waterproof boots and wool socks from *******.
