Went to sears to get the blades because I knew they would fit properly and they did.Old blades were warn out but after fifteen years of sharpening it was time to replace them. And mower was shaking more. Now after replacement smoother running and a great cut.
These blades are the only way to go here in south Texas. They are also balanced to eliminate vibration caused by blades that are not such as the cheaper blades available at the local auto parts store.
Easy to change on the tractor, great product! I would highly recommend this item to others with similar needs. The staff at the Sears store were great is helping me select the correct item.
I put these blades on the day I purchased them and mowed the next day. Wow, what a difference in quality of cut and mulching ability. Prior to using these blades we had to rake and sweep the clippings. Now even the fallen leaves are being mulched instead of just blown through the mower deck.
Great blades . Well balanced . The blades have "Grass Side" printed on the bottom , so you can't accidently put them on upside down . Nothing I like better than nice new blades , that cut the grass rather than tear it . I also like the blister pack they come in . Just hang it on a peg until your ready to use it , instead of being in a box and shelving them , where something gets set on top or they get pushed to the back .
These seem better than the alternative blades available only because they are heavier gauge steel. I'm not sure why they would even offer a lower-grade blade particularly when the price is only a couple $ different. Regardless, for something that takes as much abuse as a mower blade, these are the ones to buy.

This is a great mulching blade. I get an even cut on grass and in the fall when our yard is full of leaves these blades do a great job of mulching them and mixing with the cut grass. In our area where the soil is very sandy the mulched leaves and grass clippings help build a moisture layer that helps the grass take root and grow stronger in the spring.
From what I have seen in the stores, these metal blades are of heavy duty construction/thicker. This will cut down on flexing/vibration while cutting, and, in the long run, create less stress on the mandrel assembly.
