It looks attractive in black, but that color makes it challenging to keep looking clean as each time I use it, it looks neglected covered with dust. I tend to blow it off with leaf blower every other use. At first I was surprised to see it take quite more fuel than my old Tecumseh motor, but it looks like it stabilized after couple hours of use and seems very gas savvy. I find the front wheels attached little bit too delicately to my liking. Rear wheel drive works very well. Side discharge is a nice thing to have, I do not like the deflecting attachment, as it feels flimsy, I do not expect it to last very long, $16 to replace is kind of steep. Honda engine is easy to start, hums pleasantly. I like it.
First time owning a lawn mower with the accelerator feature. With having a slanted front yard and a steep hill in back yard, this really helps with the work load and takes a lot of the stress away. It's very easy to start. Love not having to prime like older models. Just slide the choke switch and pull the cord...it's that easy. There is even a water hose hook up to make cleaning easy. Another feature new to me. My only negative is the side door. If the grass has a little more height than normal, it will catch and fall off. There is nothing to really hold the door/opener in place. Just two hooks that are placed under a hinge/rod. Very frustrating if you don't have a flat surface with longer grass.
She works like a champ. It does everything I expected of it and more. The self propelled trans really makes it on me being over 60 years old.

It broke today, after 1 month....The reason I bought this lawn mower was because it had a Honda engine on it but what I should of remembered was that this has craftsman parts attached to it as well. With that in mind and the price being so high I didn't think I was going to have any problems. The last craftsman product I bought was a power drill and within days it broke but that was a few years ago. I thought they would improve on their products but nope. The first day I ran this lawn mower I bent the front metal undercoat by going over my 2'' sidewalk. This cheap scrap metal went into my blade and after a few turns of the blade, you could hear a loud grind of metal against metal which could be heard around the neighborhood. I turned off the lawn mower and hit the cheap scrap metal back to the front with a hammer so I could continue to cut the grass. The second grass cutting experience. I use the side plastic port to spit out the grass instead of using the bag. The plastic cover clips on the side ejection port is so cheap. I broke one of the clips on it. The engine is so powerful it will spit out anything in comes in contact with. Be careful because you will break a window if you ever come in contact with a rock. That's what happened to me, it spit out a little rock and pushed the plastic side cover which broke the front clip. Reminder, You have to have both clips in order to keep the plastic cover on. If your like me and don't have time to take it to get fix, you just fix it yourself. I fixed it by putting a self tap screw and drilled it into my metal frame from the top of the plastic cover. On this same day which is today for me. The blade from the bottom came off. I don't know how but it did and now I can't even find the bottom bolt which keeps the blade intact. I'm sure it flew across the yard since the engine is powerful. I owned a Toro brand lawn mower before and that's what I should of stuck with. I'm a 28 year old man that needs to call a friend to borrow a lawn mower since half of my grass is cut. Now, Lets see how quick Sears warranty service is.
Had a hard time starting the mower after just having taken it out of the box. I almost returned it because I was getting blisters on my hands from pulling the rope and I couldn't get it started. It then came to me the gas I was using was about 3 months old,so I thought I'd give it one more try with fresh gas.Got some fresh gas from the pump, emptied the fuel tank, put the fresh gas in,started on 2nd pull. I still find it somewhat odd that it didn't want to start on the old fuel, when another mower I have, identical Honda engine, starts first pull on the old gas. So if you're having a hard time starting it,try some fresh 93 octane gas from the pump and throw some fuel stabilizer in there. RWD is great compared to my other push mower, and the hose attachment for self cleaning is great, I use it every time. It is also much heavier than the push mower, but since it's self propelled it doesn't really matter.I think the extra weight is in the thicker sturdier deck, because again, the engines are identical. Overall a good mower with a good engine, just picky on gas.

This is definitely the best lawnmower I have ever owned. It was also a great price. Sears have some of the best sales in the country around this time of the year.
Ordered this item on line after checking it out at store. Have always had good luck with Craftsman products and last mower had a Honda engine which was reliable for over 8 years. So far am very pleased with my purchase.

I am very pleased with my mower. The rear wheel drive works much better than my front wheel drive mower on hills. The Honda engine is second to none and I expect the typical exceptional Honda reliability too!

This Craftsman mower is replacing an almost 30 year old Honda of similar size and features. The good use I received from the Honda is why I opted for the Craftsman with the Honda motor. So far so good. It starts in one pull, and the drive is smooth and easy to handle. I haven't used it enough to give a 5 star rating but it's certainly a good mower.

I have bought Craftsman products all my life and i'll continue to do so. This is a great mower and with a Honda engine you can't go wrong. It cuts evenly and does a great job mulching. Bagger is great as well. Nothing negative to say about this mower.
I went with this model because I had points that I wanted to use. Originally I was going to go with a Honda lawnmower, but this has the Honda motor and the same features as the Honda at a lower price. Plus this one has the deck cleaning feature which is nice.
Just bought this mower and love it, it has all the power that you could ask for. The bagging system works great and is very easy to empty, the rear wheel drive is so much better than a front wheel drink because with a front wheel drive you still have to push the mower but not with this setup, it pushes the mower for you! If you have a hard time getting around but still have to do the mowing I would highly recommend this mower, it does most of the work for you! All you have to do is just walk behind it, and for the price you can't go wrong. The Honda engine is EXCELLENT, one pull and your ready to use your mower!
I am not weak but I cannot get this mower to start, only once in a while by chance it will start for me. Once it is going it works well. This is very frustrating when I want to be able to mow the lawn on my time not on the mowers time.
