I have bought Craftsman products all my life and i'll continue to do so. This is a great mower and with a Honda engine you can't go wrong. It cuts evenly and does a great job mulching. Bagger is great as well. Nothing negative to say about this mower.
I went with this model because I had points that I wanted to use. Originally I was going to go with a Honda lawnmower, but this has the Honda motor and the same features as the Honda at a lower price. Plus this one has the deck cleaning feature which is nice.
Just bought this mower and love it, it has all the power that you could ask for. The bagging system works great and is very easy to empty, the rear wheel drive is so much better than a front wheel drink because with a front wheel drive you still have to push the mower but not with this setup, it pushes the mower for you! If you have a hard time getting around but still have to do the mowing I would highly recommend this mower, it does most of the work for you! All you have to do is just walk behind it, and for the price you can't go wrong. The Honda engine is EXCELLENT, one pull and your ready to use your mower!
I am not weak but I cannot get this mower to start, only once in a while by chance it will start for me. Once it is going it works well. This is very frustrating when I want to be able to mow the lawn on my time not on the mowers time.

I pick the mower up from sears it took less than 5 mins. Had the mower out of box and running in fifteen mins. This mower is great planty of power, startes the first time ever time. I have told my friends they need to get one.
I bought this item after trying to decide between this or the Briggs & Stratton 190 cc engine. I am happy I went with this after reading the reviews on the item. My previous mower wouldn't start at the beginning of the season and I couldn't afford a new one until the first week of August so imagine what my .75 acres looked like. I purchased this, assembled it in under 15 minutes, and ran it on my New England jungle. I set it on the highest setting possible as I knew it was going to be a challenge on my lawn and it cut through with zero issues! I couldn't believe it. I have a steep grade lawn and this was 500x better than my push mower. I am entirely happy with my purchase! Definitely consider this mower!
Purchased this mower because of the Honda Engine. Have used it 11 times and like it better each time I have used it. Self propel is great. It has power to cut most anything. Mulch, discharge and rear bagger also work well. So far great mower.

Best self propelled mower I have ever used. Great starter, first pull every time! I have about a half acre most of it being about a 20 degree slope. I can mow the whole yard in about 45 minutes. Very quiet! Bagger, Mulcher and side discharge work flawlessly. Do not hesitate to buy this mower!
Purchased May 2012, June 2013 i've used the mower maybe 25 hours, the rear right whell i noticed was loose. as mowing it got looser and was angled on a slant, as if loose. i looked and there was a small clip that was lose on the drive shaft. the 1 year warranty was up by about 2 weeks. i took to my local mower shop and the entire rear drive assembly has to be replaced $100. The Honda Motor is a beauty, but the Craftsman mower itself is not worth buying.
Well my brother tookeh pity on thyself and surpriseh me out of the blue unannounced with one of these monsters as a birthday gift. It had been out of the box or used but it showed no signs of use. My old lawnmower (not self propelled) could not handle the first springs mowing of the back yard without clogging. First use was just mowing up the clipping from the last job. Bag seemed to me removed and shaken to get the grass to the back of the bag. Odd starting with the choke; you slide it to the back can it clips in place. As soon as you grab the dead mans bar the choke releases and you have to rush to grab it and manually slide back before the engine cuts out. My brother says the Honda engines are cold blooded It is as loud as an Abram's tank & solid as one.
This is a fine mower. I love the variable speed self propell. The mower has a unique choke system that makes startup a breeze. One can also hook up the garden hose and clean the underside of the mower...cool!
best craftsman lawn mower i bought and have no complaints, some people just complain because thats their nature, the only thing they dont find fault in is them selves.i love this lawn mower and have been told how beautiful my lawn looks now and was asked who cut my lawn since it looks so pro cut,i am 1 satisfied craftsman owner, k.m..
First of all, it's extremely easy to start. It is very quiet (Honda motors are great!) especially compared to others in my neighborhood. It cuts very nice and has plenty of power to drive up my hill. I really like the speed-control feature - my 11 year old can use this with absolutely no problem whatsoever. I saw other complaints about needing strong hands to operate, but my son is on the small side and operates it with ease. Overall I'm completely satisfied.

This mower lifts small debris (pebbles, twigs, etc) and forces it toward the rear bagger port, which is supposed to stay closed, (was using side discharge port) with such force that it partially pushes open the rear discharge, and pushes the debris onto the back of the engine, which riccochets right into your face. Small pebble cut my forehead 1 inch above my eye. This same yard was cut by my old craftsman mower for nine years without any problems with debris blowback. The springs on the rear discharge need to be a lot heavier to keep this port closed when using side discharge or mulcher. Tried to return this UNSAFE mower to sears, but they said they will not accept it back because I already put gas in the mower. How the heck do you know if you have a good mower until you put gas in it. Sears is really going down hill in a lot of areas. Especially quality and customer service. Do not use this mower unless you can afford to lose an eye, then deal with a manager with an attitude.

to operate this type of self propelled lawnmower you need strong hands and I hope your lawn is small. Mine isn't, and I wished I picked a different type of drive. It cuts great, and at top speed it moves faster than any other lawn mower I've had without missing any grass. BUT the spring is strong and it takes a lot to squeeze the drive control.
