The BEST snow shovel
This is the best snow shovel that I have ever owned and want to buy two more! First, let me start by saying that this shovel is extremely light weight. When I bought this, I actually was just looking for a really cheap snow shovel at Sears, but this was the only one they had left, and I am so glad i bought it. It cuts through snow like nothing. It is made out of an extremely durable type of plastic and it has a metal tip on it that is great for cutting through ice! This shovel got us through the huge snowstorm last winter. The padded handle is really nice! I don't even have to wear gloves when using it. Overall, because of the light weight, durability and padded handle I highly recommend this shovel to anyone! Did I mention it has the forever guarantee?

Junk - scraper bar not guaranteed and you will wear it out

The scraper bar is not thick enough gauge to last.  If you don't break something else on this shovel (which would be covered by the Craftsman guarantee) then you will wear out the bar which is not covered.  That is planned obsolence on Sears' part.  Also, the older Craftsman snow shovel (coated aluminum scoop, galvanized blade, D-handle, fibre handle) is no longer sold so they got me on that one.  Can't replace it however it happens to break - clever work Sears.  My much much older non-Craftsman, non Sears (coated aluminum scoop, thick gauge blade, long wood handle with out D-handle) is not as easy to use (no D-handle) but it is still going strong.  My Craftsman is absolutely unusable as of this year.  Maybe I can find a machine shop to rebuild my Craftsman the way it should have been built in the first place.

By the way, I am a card carrying Sears Best customer and I am getting fed up with some of the expensive name brand junk I have purchased at Sears in the last couple of years.

Do NOT buy appliances at Sears - you can't get a worthwhile extended warranty which is needed due to the way appliances are built these days.  Buy your appliances from a local appliance store which has their own factory authorized service.  Another words, when you pay for a warranty, make sure it will be honored by the Maytag man not some clown hired by Sears with an offshore service call scheduling phone line.

So far, so good!

I live in Massachusetts, and I picked this last one up at my local Sears store. It's helped me out throughout these crazy hectic storms the passed few days, I'm personally not a big fan of the metal part at the very bottom for scraping. However, it is a nice shovel!

Two years running

After 2-years I'm still pleased with this snow shovel. It still feels solid without anything cracked or broken. Last year we had some real wet and heavy snow so I was shoveling/tossing some heavy stuff without any problems. The only drawback I found is the metal blade/scraper bent a little. It still shovels fine. Pros: extremely light, but durable; easy grip Cons: metal blade/scraper too thin

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great shovel for working it's first winter season.

I love the shovel. Seemed to do the job. Not too sure about the metal edging on the bottom. We have to re-evaluate in two more years.

works well for us...

purchased yesterday and had a 6 inch snowfall today, mostly light fluffy snow and these worked pretty well. I'm concerned the plastic/metal combination may not hold up but hoping to get at least a few years out of this shovel.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Durable, lightweight and easy to maneuver

Great shovel..even though I only had to use it once.  It is lightweight, very strong and ergonomic.  I bought this shovel because I only want to buy something once and this shovel had all the attributes you would want.  Add to that a lifetime guarantee and you got it all.  I am very happy with this shovel and I think anyone would feel the same.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 20" Combo Shovel..light..strong..and ready for it.

I was hoping for no snow at all.  But sooner or later it is bound to come.  I wanted something light, strong and able to stand up from the abuse I usually give my shovel. Now, I have found it.  I am actually looking forward to waking up tomorrow and using it for the first time of many.  When you have the right tool, any job seems pleasurable. Add to that, the lifetime warranty and a name you can trust and I am sold.

I am sure you will feel the same way!!

Try to break it!! Strong and light weight.

The only thing I don't like about this shovel is that if the snow is hard or icy it is too flexible to break though.  For the easy stuff it is the best shovel we have bought.. otheres have only lasted a season or two .  This one is on year 4.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Clear The Way For Craftsman

The Craftsman 20" Combo shovel glides through snow like a knife through butter. I like the metal blade as opposed to similar snow shovels with a polycarbonate blade. It aids in cutting though packed snow and ice. Once it's full, it's lightweight to lift, even with heavy snow. The shovel itself is made of a rugged polycarbonate material that helps it last longer and be stronger. The handle is fiberglass, so you won't have to worry about it breaking, and it sports and  cusioned grip to make your snow clearing more productive and easier to accomplish. The rubberized handle on top helps you get a good grip on the hangle when lifting and pushing too. Best of all, it's covered by Craftsman's lifetime warranty! If you need to clear snow and are looking for a shovel that will outlast the competition, this is the one for you.

Great snow shovel and lifetime warranty.

The shape holds a lot of snow and is very sturdy.  I chipped a lot of ice with it until it finally cracked but was able to use it for much longer.  Took it back to Sears and they happily gave me a new one.  Can't beat that!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Exactly what I wanted in a snow shovel.

I purchased this last year and was skeptical at first by the clear plastic scoop. The price was high compared to other shovels next to it, but it had features others didn't. This shovel was well worth the money. This winter with the northeast getting dumped by snow, was perfect. The snow would stick sometimes but I spray a little PAM on the scoop and I had no problems. The grip is a nice thick rubberized one so it's very easy to hold and feels comfortable. I know others complained about the ergonomics, but it still the best snow shovel with a strait handle that I've ever seen or used. I've moved maybe a ton or more of snow with this and I expect it to last through tons more. It's so good my neighbors borrowed it when their old shovel broke and ended up buying this one for themselves!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

good multi purpose snow shovel

After the pounding of snow that we got in 2010, I knew that I wanted a new, high end snow shovel for 2011. I don't normally like to splurge on yard equipment, but this was an exception. I wanted the most durable, space age, high capacity show shovel in existence. I was half serious when I told my wife that I was hoping to find a NASA branded shovel at the store. I can't say for sure if this is that shovel, but it's pretty **** good. The 20" scoop means you can move large quantities of snow very quickly. With a single scoop of this shovel, you can move a 12-18" thick layer of snow completely down to the concrete, including the hard, bottom layer of snow that sticks to the ground. Granted it's going to be heavy shovel full of snow, but it does make for quick work. Just remember to life with your legs! The metal ice breaker strip is great for cutting down to the conrete, but don't expect to break thick ice with it. After all, the body of the shovel is plastic and even though it's pretty rigid, it doesn't have the durability that a solid metal tool has. I noticed that they do make 24" shovels as well (actual shovels, not pushers). I may eventually pick one of these up as a secondary shovel for when the snow is lighter.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The shovel shovels

I received this in exchange for my 10 year old Craftsman that had worn down. I have used it several times of far and it does a fine job for me. The snow does stick a little to it but not too much. Best thing is I can exchange it again in another 10 years.

GREAT SHOVEL

This is a great shovel, takes care of wet heavy Maine snow with no problem.  Despite what most reviews have said this shovel is available YEAR ROUND online, do the snowmobiles stay out at your local snowmobile dealer through summer?? No boats and 4-wheelers take over.  So why would Sears not make room for season specific tools?  Also I think most of the complainers think that a company should just have a product when they need it...they don't take into account any number of people might have come and taken advantage of their hand tool gaurantee before them.  I need it u should have it that's the mentality.  Seriously though this shovel is great quality and the sraper bar also scrapes up sleet and freezing rain we always get here in the Northeast.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
