Had a great first year and half with this but now its just been problems. Even more aggravating is that parts, such as carb rebuild kits aren't stock in any store. They have to be ordered. long lead time and expensive shipping. Too bad since there isn't a fuel filter for fuel shut off, only a matter of time before the carb goes. Seems they are just looking for the consumer to break down and use their repair dept.
I have owned this snowblower for about a month. Have used it 10 times and it goes through everything I have attempted to go through. Great for the snow that the plows pile up on the end of the driveway. I find myself doing the side walks all along my street because it is so easy. It is easy for my wife to use and she has never used a snowblower before. I am impressed so far.
Quick and easy start. Clean pickup and clearing. Definitely cuts down time and requires no second pass. I definitely wish it has more than 190 degree range. So glad I bought it. Electric start in -17F weather is great.

Wonderful machine. I have a 200' driveway and have side walk just as long, I had no problem cleaning with this snowblower. It works well in snow as deep as 10" (that's the most we got one day.) the electric starter is the best feature in it. M
Reviewed many snow blowers before settling on this one. Pros: electric start, shoot controls are next to all the other controls, no need to bend down to change the shoot direction. Cons: doesn't have heated hand grips.
Purchased on sale two years back and only used once last winter, but this winter, we had snow falls about 1 foot deep. It worked well in this condition and I was able to clear my long gravel driveway (150 feet) and asphalt pavement as well. The only thing I wish it had is a built-in lamp and brakes when the drive handle is released. It will slide away if it's on the slope. I do have to drain all fuels before putting it into storage last year, but it started just after a few pulls.
I bought this right before Christmas and after reading numerous review I decided to buy the 247. Power is great and it cuts right through snow drifts up to 15 inches thick. it handles all of the snow that we have gotten in Wyoming and with the wind I needed something that would cut through the drifts. Set up was very easy, I put gas in it and it started right up. I have had no problems starting it and the electric start is great. It works well enough that I do our corner walks plus the neighbors. The only concern I have is that I don't think the wife will be able to handle this snow blower as it is big and powerful. I will follow the directions when the snow season ends and have no doubts it will start right up. I liked it enough to recommend that my father in law buy one and he did.
Lots of use this year. This snow blower is our first. Our neighbors are happy too. It is so easy to use that we are done in a quarter of the time we used to when shoveling. Also more area covered.

I'm a small women and as large as this machine is, I am able to handle. Took a little bit of time to figure best way to remove snow, once that was figured out, went smoothly. Moves the snow well. Starts easily. The first time used electric start, after that used pull start. Very pleased, if lived in an area that gets a lot of snow, would get the EZ turn and heated hanles.

This is the item we used and was very easy to maneuver, and having th electric start is so awesome. The man who waited on us gave us great customer service. We bought this size snowblower so the wife could operate it with ease and not to heavy to move around. We always have loved to do with Sears and have bought several Craftsman items.

This is the machine to go through deep snow. Two recent snowfalls of 8 to 10 inches each were on the ground before I had a chance to clear them away. This machine handled the deep snow without a problem!
I've been using an OLD (we're talking 25+ years) Toro 826 snow thrower. While it's never failed me, it was time to put it to rest and onwards to something newer that wasn't as loud and difficult to start. I came across this model and decided to give it a try. Upon delivery, my first reactions were A) it sure looks nice! B) can't wait to use it! and finally C) man, this feels cheap! Just pushing down on the handles to get the unit proper up, you could feel it bend and wiggle. Nothing like my old Toro. It started easily, and throws snow well. It doesn't have a lot of guts or weight to really "drive" itself in deep snow so be prepared to push when the wheels start to slip. My biggest complaint is the stupid joystick to turn the snow snout. It rarely works correctly and i'm always pushing it with my hand. The cable system and trigger is just a terrible design and I plan on changing that next winter. All in all, if you find this at the price I did (on sale) You should be fairly happy with its abilities. After all, you're spending 700 not 1500 on a high end model!
Being someone who loves snow and helping those who need help. I bought the perfect item. This thing eats through snow both fresh and packed. Even cut through iced over snow in seconds.
This snowblower has all the features I wanted and needed, plus it starts so easy that I haven't needed to use the electric start yet. I just prime it, and one pull of the cord and it fires right off. Excellent machine!
just what we were looking for and t such a great price. ordering was easy, pickup a breeze and we were able to use our sears charge card with a special offer of free financing and our savings membership added even more points for future savings! we recommend all of the products to everyone we know.

I've had this model for 3 years and it works great starts normally on first pull. I live in northern Michigan and I've had to snowblower 2 1/2 foot of snow with no problem.
