I have had no problems with this phone and am satisfied. The cordless receiver does lose signal at the furthest point in the house from the base station however.

Poor choice. November 25, 2008

This is the second time I bought this phone. It has good and bad points. Best is the Do not disturb button so you can shut it off at night and still get your messages. Worst is you can't hear anybody on the answering machine unless you get right up on it, the backlight is hard to see, even with the awful orange color, and to erase your messages takes way too long. The weight of the unit is so light you have to glue it down or it pulls off the talbe when you stretch the cord. Overall it is pretty complicated to use, especially the cordless handset, which you also hear noises on. Gave the last one away and bought another one because I thought it was maybe just a bad one. Nope, new one has same problems. Gonna take this one back.

I purchased this telephone about 4 days ago and I will be returning it to the store. We have not had any problems with the corded handset. But the cordless handset is bad. I called my husband - he was using the cordless handset and I could not understand a word he said. He said that he had the same problem when he called out on the telephone. Does anyone make a good phone anymore???
