    nice phone December 02, 2010

I really like this phone.  I bought it for my eight year old son, when he is away from the house.....just in case of an emergency.  It it simple and cost efficient for him to use.  The features on the phone are really nice as well for a prepaid phone.

The one negative thing is when I put minutes on the phone they did not double as indicated on the phone (free double minutes for life).  I had to call Tracfone and dealt with a nice customer service person for about 45 minutes.  The person was nice, but it was a pain.  Nonetheless it was solved and I did get free double minutes for the life of the phone.

I also ordered another one for my mother and nephew.

    Samsung T301G's Performance December 29, 2010

Reported problems with phone to tracfone. Very helpful customer service but, takes a long time to resolve the problem (many repeated steps). When reporting a problem to tracfone make sure you have the serial number, phone number and charger of the phone. Also, make the call on a different phone. My husband uses this phone rarely. Not even once per day. On average he uses 20 minutes per week. He gets approximately 15 minutes of talking with 5 days on standby of battery life before he needs to charge the phone. The specs say up to 4 hours of talk time and 14 days on standby. The phone also turns itself on when kept in his front pants pocket. Even though there are plenty of cell phone towers in the vicinity, the phone will not pick up a signal for making or receiving phone calls. The customer service rep said that when this happens to turn the phone off and then back on immediately. I did this but had to be by a window in order for the phone to get a signal. This phone does not receive or make calls well indoors. Because the phone was still under warranty, the customer service rep said that they would send me a new battery and that I should receive it in seven working days. The whole process took 30 minutes. I did not call the phone number listed at tracfone. I found an 800 number where you get a live person. 1-800-323-2366

This samsung phone, is good for a beginner! Bad battery life!! December 23, 2011

    Pros:
    Slider,Screen size,Camera,Easy to use!,Easy to use.,camera,Nice screen size.
    Cons:
Limited web.,battery life shorter than previous phone,Durability,Awful battery life!,you have to charge it every day

This cell phone, is great for a beginner. It has a very short battery life! You have to charge it alot! The screen size is positive, its a good size! Also, it has a camera, that is just ok. All in all it is a nice phone, for the price! Very easy to use, but you have to be outside for reception. It doesnt work well at all in the house! And its a slider phone, which is nice! Limited web, also. Not a bad phone at all, considering its price.

Good phon efor those who don't use a cell much. September 28, 2011
    By eric0424 of Carrollton, GA
    Pros:
Screen size,Camera,Great value for dollars,Bluetooth,Download ringtones and wallpaper
    Cons:
Limited web.,low signal, battery life shorter than previous phone

This is my fourth phone from TracFone and not a bad phone for the price.  I rarely make
calls from a cell phone but keep one with me for emergencies. So this is roughly $7 a
month for a cell with minutes that keep rolling over every 90 days.  I like the Airtime on
Demand TracFone has, adding 90-Days/60-Minutes through the phone is convenient.

Call quality has been good on the Samsung T301G as it is on the other phones, never had a
problem hearing once I was connected.  The screen is a little bigger than the other three
TracFones I have, Motorola C139, C261 and the LG 420G.  Talk and standby time is a little
    shorter than both the Motorola's.

The signal on this phone is a little weak.  The Motorola C261 that this Samsung may be
replacing holds two bars 95% of the time here at my house, same for the old C139.  The
Samsung T301G varies between 0-2 and has 0 bars about 40% of the time.  It also has
trouble connecting to the web.  I tried to download a couple of ringtones and back ground
images and was only able to receive two of the six I tried to install.  I doubt I'll use the
browser again as all I wanted was the few ringtones and background images.
