Developed to succeed the EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 II, this compact, lightweight high-magnification telephoto zoom lens covers medium telephoto 75 mm to super telephoto 300mm. Like the EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM, it has a metal ring at the front of the zoom ring to give it an upscale image. It uses a DC motor as AF drive actuator. For environmental protection, only lead-free glass lens elements are used.

great zoom,sharpAn amazing addition to my new SLR camera! It came as a package deal which knocked like $100 bucks off the price of the lens! I have a canon film slr camera and it is also interchangeable with it! Great purchase!

Pros:
fast,great zoom,light weight,sharp,quick change lensI love this lens even though I don't really use it too often. The main reason for that would be this lens would be, obviously used for taking shots at great distance. If you are trying to get a shot of someone in front of you with this lens, it will not work. I mean it's pretty obvious, but still.
I have yet to find anything wrong with this lens. The photos come out great and it's well worth the money.
